the proper question is:
“why isn’t congress in jail?”
-s
Heh, heh. Animby. What to do with you? Why do you pimp for moral equivalency? Its morally bankrupt===just what my posts are meant to cure.
But comparing me to Alfie won’t do the trick. what is your own ANALYSIS?
You know the truth but post against it: “Yes, Bobbo. Republicans lie. They lie a LOT. About as much as Democrats.” //// Whats the KEY word/idea/concept/differential that makes all the difference between PUKE and Dumbo in a two party system?
Thats right Animby, I doubt you will post back on point, so I ask and answer for those who think Pukes are a reasonable choice: “about as much”=====and that is the very difference I post on, the very difference you wish to ignore.
Repent Animby!!!!…… opps, I meant “Reconsider Animby!!!!!”
Wake Up Animby. The Republicans want to Kill America but they can’t do it without you swallowing their lies and giving them your vote. //// Why is it that the most intelligent posters are just as dogmatic in their blindness as anyone else? I guess when your dogma is a set of beliefs, rather than A PROCESS, the results are about the same????
Sad. Yea, verily, but still sad.
Animby, if you go to bed now, wake up later: what is your deeper analysis after the purely ad hominem. Do you have any?
Ha, ha. Smart Hoomans. Still stoopid.
Bobbo, chill out.
#21 100% agree…they don’t read bills, no need. Lobbyists told them how to vote.
They went home to hear from their lobbyists, what to do…
They didn’t give a crap about the people screaming they not do it.
Then they and more like them, won the election!
That’s why we are so fracked now…
Q: “Why Isn’t Wall Street in Jail?”
A: “Barack Hussein Obama is owned by the Wall Street fatcats.”
All this internet chat is worthless drivel. It makes you FEEL like you have expressed yourself when in fact you are shouting into the void.
If you are tired of the bullshit, get up off your fat asses and DO SOMETHING about it.
What? I don’t know. But we better figure something our soon or it’s gonna be over with. Se Fini
Spetz==thank you for your concern. but I couldn’t be more chill. Its all about the duality of things: containing their exact opposite. Each issue in its own box, standing on its own. Humor the saving grace.
How many are saved?
#26–twohead==so you recommend acting in face of the void rather than shouting into it? Very fine distinction. I hear raindrops make up the ocean?
Hey—what meaning there is, is within yourself and that is fully expressed by actions and yelling into the void. Will it make a difference? Only to yourself, but thats where meaning is. Cute huh?
And you will continue to spin in circles as you follow the rest of the sewage down the drain…
#29==twohead==you imply that you stand outside of the sewage? On what rock do you form such a belief system?
Inquiring minds what to be lead by a winner.
Another round of Tigerblood please.
# 10 bobbo, we think with words, and flower with ideas. –
US hasn’t learned anything from the S&L crisis. In Texas, suburbs and airports to nowhere, Neil Bush with Silverado S&L, etc. The S&Ls were de-regulated so that their money could go into junk bonds. The FSLIC failed and the RTC had to be created to sell everything off. Twenty years later, same thing happened but on a larger scale.
I think former Countrywide CEO and high-ranking BofA executive Mozillo had a higher income than the CEO of Bank of America which acquired Countrywide.
Barack Obama was the Wall Street candidate in the 2008 Presidential Election – plain and simple. One-third of his contributions were at least $1,000. The press kept on focusing on the large number of very small contributions but missed the ball on the larger contributions. Goldman Sachs’ employees were huge contributers.
I think Paulson was the CEO there before becoming Secretary of the Treasury. Current Secretary Geithner was once there, amazing.
On regulation: Just because murder is illegal that doesn’t mean defund the homicide squads.
Cranky–I feel your blinding flash of the obvious: politicians are corrupt: bought and paid for by the Corps=======or at least seem to act completely consistently with that “idea.”
Who knows what the truth is? There CERTAINLY is the “appearance” of a conflict of interest–but an engaged one? We don’t know. Only way to be sure: remove the appearance and that has now become almost impossible with Citizens United.
For Animby, Spetz, TwoHead, Ah Yea and all others: yes, recognize the two parties have much in common:::::BUT THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, and with that slight quantum difference: recognize that REPUBLICANS EXPRESSLY WANT TO KILL AMERICA. Its right there: Look===all you have to do is look. Ryan’s Budget: just look. Is that the America you want? And Obama says: Not while I’m President. At the start, thats a difference. We’ll see where he ends?
# 22 bobbo, the Tagline Abuser, said, “But comparing me to Alfie won’t do the trick. what is your own ANALYSIS?”
Analysis of WHAT, Bobert? This is just one example of your endless list of seemingly insightful questions that are, in the end, simply obfuscatory. Smokescreens.
“Whats the KEY word/idea/concept/differential that makes all the difference between PUKE and Dumbo in a two party system?” You propose there IS a difference. I suggest the only difference is the social agenda. Politicians have long given up the appearance of Mr Smith going to Washington. Politics has become a career choice not public service. A path to making tons of money. Where the Demos want to subtract the Constitution from our society and move to a socialistic nanny state, the Repubs seek to reinvent the US as a haven for the religious rich man. The end result is a state that defines it’s citizens’ role and enforces their performance.
Yes, Repubs lie. Demos lie. You lie. I’m the only person who doesn’t lie. Except just now. I used to agree with you when your tagline was to vote out all incumbents. But, now that your brainwashing seems to have been completed, I find your conversion to be a boor.
Going to bed? Dear boy, I’m on my lunch break! I’m having a bowl of khao soi noodles and a plate of spicy larb gai! Mmmmmmmmm, larb. Dessert will be iced sticky rice in coconut cream. God, I love the food here.
Simple. They own the companies that own/operate the jails.
There’s no mystery here.
Well Animby==thank you. I didn’t think you would lower your self so. Maybe I am losing it?
You do come so close, but you won’t swallow the pill. I think you miss a lot of subtlety that would inform/change your opinions but you’ve become too set in your ways to continue learning, reacting to the new realities, keep with the times.
It could be worth a parse:
1. Analysis of WHAT, Bobert? /// What can each of us do, on our own, to make America the best it can be? To make the political process more responsive to the needs of America. To vote closer to the political will of America rather than the monied honey pots. More below.
2. This is just one example of your endless list of seemingly insightful questions that are, in the end, simply obfuscatory. Smokescreens. /// Not if you read with attention and memory, and failing that, ask a direct question.
3. “Whats the KEY word/idea/concept/differential that makes all the difference between PUKE and Dumbo in a two party system?” You propose there IS a difference. /// Well that was a damn shame of a typo. The word beginning this paragraph should have been “Thats” rather than Whats–even though in context that becomes clear. I apologize for my horrid typing. I allow for typos until the meaning really is obfuscated which is the case here. but in context: connect the following paragraph where I AGREE WITH YOU what that difference between Puke and Dumbo is: “They (ie, Pukes) lie a LOT. About as much as Democrats.” See yourself talking out of both sides of your mouth Animby? Talk about repetitive themes? “About as much” meaning you think the Pukes lie less? Just a difficult intransigence on your part. Caught up in your conclusion. Any textual analysis will reveal the Pukes do more than “spin” as do the Dumbo’s==they outright lie aka Kyle and his now famous #”Notintendedasafactualstatement” And if you don’t like that==just take them at their word. They want to KILL Medicaid but they aren’t honest about it. Hide the fact with words: premium support. C’mon Animby. There is a difference. Silly to argue otherwise.
4. I suggest the only difference is the social agenda. /// No. Demonstrably not true. The lying is more than a quibble, more than a differing spin on a point of view. Its palpable and real.
5. Politicians have long given up the appearance of Mr Smith going to Washington. /// No, many still adopt that pose. I think the Tea Partiers take that stance. You are conflating that with the fact none/few of us believe them.
6. Politics has become a career choice not public service. A path to making tons of money. /// I agree.
7. Where the Demos want to subtract the Constitution from our society and move to a socialistic nanny state, the Repubs seek to reinvent the US as a haven for the religious rich man. /// Taken at face value, this characterization SUPPORTS my tag line: the REPUBLICANS WANT TO KILL AMERICA. Living in a socialistic nanny state is not trying to Kill anyone. It might end with that result, but since that is not the goal, changes would be made as recognized to maintain services. No such changes possible when the goal is to transfer all wealth to the SuperRich and substitute private religious charity for social support services. YOU recognize the Pukes want to Kill america, you know exactly why and for what goals===why do you reject the fruits of your own intellect?
The end result is a state that defines it’s citizens’ role and enforces their performance. /// All states/societies inherently/unavoidably do that.
Yes, Repubs lie. Demos lie. You lie. (HEY!!) I’m the only person who doesn’t lie. Except just now. I used to agree with you when your tagline was to vote out all incumbents. But, now that your brainwashing seems to have been completed, I find your conversion to be a boor. /// Heh, heh. Poor Old animby===yes, I have changed with the changing times. I was more bi-partisan when the positions weren’t as crude and obvious as they are now. As reality changed, so did I–as I will when/if any change comes to the parties/process that be. An opinion that remains constant thru times of change is not well reasoned–it is DOGMA.
If we did a textual analysis of my postings here, you would see me a few years ago with VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT OF OFFICE because I saw them as close enough to the same as each other. The Pukes nominated McCain 2 years ago to run for President, McCain has run to the far right in the past two years to keep his office/career just as you say==and so are all other few moderates that are left. Wake up and smell the change Animby, keep your values, apply them to the new facts.
What do you think Animby? Do times change?
Going to bed? Dear boy, I’m on my lunch break! I’m having a bowl of khao soi noodles and a plate of spicy larb gai! Mmmmmmmmm, larb. Dessert will be iced sticky rice in coconut cream. God, I love the food here. /// I agree. I prefer Thai over all the others. Its the best. I hope they never change so I don’t have to change my mind/recommendation.
As to becoming tiresome in my tag: it still changes according to the subject. It will change on politics over time as well. I’ve gone from Killing to Lying. Change at the speed of light, change at the speed in recognition of the changes in the subject matter.
Voting all incumbents out is still better than voting for pukes, just not effective I think as I reviewed various different races. That rule would give us Obama over Hillary, and then Obama over McCain, but in 2012 it could give us Pallin over Obama. Obviously, not a good plan. But voting the Pukes out still works.
Don’t confuse the superiority of an individual as you may perceive it of a pol in the puke party. Crunch time comes, and too often that good man will vote the Party Line. Thats not good, because:
The Republicans want to Kill America. Thankfully, they can’t do it without your vote. Vote wisely, vote your own self interest.
#26 Tea Party is the solution.
This is a Republic, we get the representation we voted for. If you want responsible “adult” governance, then you have to leave the loons behind, and vote Tea Party.
#35 If Republicans lie about everything, then they aren’t republicans, and you can vote for them, because they tell the truth.
BUT if they tell the truth, then they are Republicans, and you can’t vote for them, because they lie about everything.
I live in your brain.
Vote Tea Party.
#25 Concise and precise, well done.
Why isn’t Obama in jail for social security fraud?
http://theblaze.com/stories/cnns-john-kings-interview-with-birther-queen-takes-some-bizarre-turns/
Bobbo – Methinks you have way too much time on your hands. In any case, I have very little time to write as a lovely young lady pharmacist on a motorcycle is on her way over for dinner. In a very unThai request, she wants steak. While I would be happy with a simple Thai meal, we are heading out to a steak house that costs a fortune (by local standards). But, I’ll find some way for her to pay for it.
But, there was one thing in your essay that requires attention:”Living in a socialistic nanny state is not trying to Kill anyone.” You said the Repubs are trying to kill AMERICA. I submit a socialistic nanny state – that may or may not be killing anyone (I assume you exclude abortions)- would no longer be America, the land I grew up in, the land of Beaver Cleaver and Lucy Ricardo. Yes, times change but we don’t have to like it and we can slow it down. The rush has given us a financial meltdown, a miserable and probably unconstitutional healthcare plan, the TSA and so many other bad things.
BTW< speaking of TSA – I ran across a couple of articles today that might be of interest and there doesn't seem to be a TSA thread open right now. I post them here and invite the Admin to remove them if he feels they are inappropriate:
