    Oh, quite so. I’m not advocating it as a theory over any other. But it is true to say that the Kuiper belt does contain a considerable amount of water in the form of ice.

    Now how it got there… that’s something to be SCIENTIFICALLY worked out. As for your suggestion that the comet replaces God in a “seed” scenario. I don’t think so. But I can imagine it being jumped upon by a number of pseudo-scientists who would like to “prove” the existence of God via the mechanism of BS and buzz words. :-)

    me being a dropout? By fission reactor I mean that there are fissile
    material, which I have read is the cause of geological heat.

    you got the ratio of volume to surface area estimate WAY WRONG as well.

    but I jumped on you too hard. I will grant you know more than nothing on this subject. I’ll give you the same 5% growth you estimate on the change in earths volume.

    I looked a 2nd time at the animations. They actually do show volume doubling.

    Hey maybe the ‘voyage to the center of the earth’ story had something to it! Giant gas filled voids. Maybe abiotic oil and gas has someit to it as well. Cooool.

    Continents cover approximately 30 % of the earth’s surface creating a volume/size of x. Why don’t you do the math to show us what percent of volume results if the earth is shrunk so that the continents cover 100 of the earth.

    I could give you “the out” that I assume you will use, but I’ll let you have the minimum credit for coming up with it yourself.
