(CNSNews.com)- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) told a recent gathering of the Women’s Political Committee that the spirits of suffragists Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul spoke to her at the White House.

Pelosi said she heard them say: “At last we have a seat at the table”. A video recently posted on Youtube shows Pelosi speaking in May describing her first meeting with President Bush in the White House after becoming part of the Democratic House leadership. In the video Pelosi says, “He’s (Bush) saying something to the effect of we’re so glad to welcome you here, congratulations and I know you’ll probably have some different things to say about what is going on–which is correct. But, as he was saying this, he was fading and this other thing was happening to me.”

“My chair was getting crowded in,” said Pelosi. “I swear this happened, never happened before, it never happened since.”

“My chair was getting crowded in and I couldn’t figure out what it was, it was like this,” she said.

“And then I realized Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Sojourner Truth, you name it, they were all in that chair, they were,” said Pelosi. “More than I named and I could hear them say: ‘At last we have a seat at the table.’ And then they were gone.”

Hooboy!

Not her fault really. Could happen to anyone. Be told that you’re special so often that you internalize it…and pretty soon the wildest of **** comes flying out of your face. And others are supposed to believe it too – you know, because of who you are.

It’s a victimless crime, provided religion does not become involved. Then the whispers come from big “G” god…and the speaker imposes his/her will in the name of the poor fictional deity. No boys, God is on *our* side, etc.

Have the public-supported limo drive you over to the public-supported medical facility (just for the “special” folks) and tell them you need the anti-hallucinogenic special. Drink deeply and think back to when you were ok just being you.

I think she slept watching ghostbusters II and she got the part where the NY Mayor said he talked to Fiorello La Guardia in his bedroom for an hour burnt into her subconscious.

    Nah, she’s just crazy.

And please, could someone turn off the stove? The tea pot is blowing too much steam

It is funny to watch the Taxed Dude go completely off his rocker.

I stayed out of this dust-up because you can’t argue with a sick mind.

It is as useless to argue with those who have renounced the use and authority of reason as to administer medication to the dead.

You’re not capable of arguing premises to a sound conclusion.

That requires a brain larger than that of a trained flea.

      You suppose smear is argument.

But then again, you also suppose rubbing your hind legs together makes music.

So why couldn’t you spare yourself the embarrassment and

      mind your own business?

      1)No mind.
      2)No business.

I asked to turn off the stove and here you come to make it hotter. Now the room is full of steam from the tea pot

        • Taxed Enough Already Dude says:

Incorrect, your inability to frame a coherent argument, with sound premises and conclusion… is manifest to all.

          Smear is what you do.

I notice Pedro is your butt buddy, so perhaps the riddle should be updated….

Why did Pedro cross the road?

  5. Taxed Enough Already Dude says:

Calvinists suppose Reprobation to damnation is a corollary of divine election to salvation, but that rests upon the premise election occurs in space-time and wasn’t prior to “the beginning.”

In other words, God isn’t electing or reprobating in space-time, God FOREknew who the elect were before space time, and then knows them specially “before all others,” and predestines them unto salvation that none of them be lost, because when He foreknew them, He loved them in a special way.

Before the beginning, God knew all who are His and God ordained all things would work together for their good.

BUT then two events occur to this group, 1)God foreknows them (=knows them before all others, above all others, in a special way; 2)God predestines these He knows specially (and therefore loves specially cp Rom 11:2).

Literally vs 29 does not say God used the future actions of this group to separate them from others, it says those God already knew are then “foreknown” and then “predestined.”

So this text neither implies nothing about the non elect, its therefore a false dilemma to suppose it does:

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Rom 8:28-29 NKJ)

It is a fact scripture commands all to repent, and says those who repent will live. That omnipresent idea is infused in scripture, reprobation to damnation contradicts it, therefore that cannot be a teaching of scripture.

People misunderstand Christ’s teaching on this, while the church is saved by unmerited grace….there are “sheep” who are saved by their works:

32 “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
33 “And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand,`Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
    35 `for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 `I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying,`Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 `When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 `Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 “And the King will answer and say to them,`Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand,`Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
    42 `for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
43 `I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying,`Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
45 “Then He will answer them, saying,`Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
46 “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Mat 25:32-46 NKJ)

The church, saved by grace, cannot be these “sheep”, they are “Christ’s brethren” already risen and raptured and reigning with Christ, when this judgment happens.

Hence it is written, all not found in the book of life are cast into the fire, implying some were written…they were judged by their works to be “children of God” and so saved:

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Rev 20:13-15 NKJ)

The book of life is both a list of names of those who written before the foundation of the world, and those who “receive life” because their deeds merited it.

That names could be added and subtracted from this book is a clear teaching of scripture and Judaism (cf Talmud):

5 “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (Rev 3:5 NKJ)

Correction, God knows all things before He created.

He FOREknew the elect, not to know, but to experience their existence in a special act of knowing different than everyone else. He knew them BEFORE all others, ABOVE all others, In front of all others, so He experienced them differently than all others…and He loved them.

  6. Taxed Enough Already Dude says:

So God chose these before the foundation of the world, for reasons He doesn’t divulge, and never says this means those not chosen couldn’t also enter life.

He makes sure those He chose (according to His purpose and good counsel; Eph 1:11), which is not according to their works (Eph 2:8) will be saved, cannot fail to attain salvation.

It does not follow those no so chosen, must fail or are reprobated:

5 …the righteous judgment of God,
6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:
    7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness– indignation and wrath,
    9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;
10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
11 For there is no partiality with God.
    (Rom 2:5-11 NKJ)

That all can choose to live and not die, is a clear teaching of scripture, from Genesis to Revelation:

7 “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” (Gen 4:7 NKJ)

  7. Taxed Enough Already Dude says:

    Correction:

So this text neither implies nothing about the non elect, its therefore a false dilemma to suppose it does:

The non elect aren’t mentioned or in view, and what is said about the elect is irrelevant to them, and therefore implies nothing about them.

God saves by grace, not works, in this life. But on Judgment Day, there is another path opened….all are judged according to their works….

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. (Rev 20:12 NKJ)

  8. Taxed Enough Already Dude says:

Oh, it still requires God’s grace He consider the paltry good works they did, somehow merits eternal life. No amount of good works could merit that, therefore grace is still evident….these works rather show these are “children of light” who for one reason or the other, failed to REPENT and BELIEVE Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God…i.e., God the Eternal Son as defined at Nicea.
