Tale of a slave revolt put down.

Andrea Fornella Abbott, a mom who refused to allow TSA screeners to pat down her 14-year-old daughter, was found guilty of disorderly conduct and sentenced to one year of probation by a court in Tennessee. […] A police report stated that Abbott would not allow her daughter to be “touched inappropriately” or have her “crotch grabbed.” Abbott also refused to submit to a full body scan because she did not want her (or her daughters’) naked body revealed by the scanner.

The police report noted that she attempted to take cell phone video of the incident, but was stopped by the TSA screeners. When police arrived, Abbott reportedly cursed at them and called the TSA screeners “pedophiles.”
[…]
A video of the incident, shows that people just walked around Abbott and no lines were held up.

  1. Dallas says:

It’s hilarious to see the people walk right through. maybe they had another scanner further down but it’s still funny.

Either way, the Honey Boo Boo teabagger just wanted to create a scene.

    • tcc3 says:

Shes a hero, standing up for *all* of our rights.

If more people did the same, we wouldnt have to put up with this expensive, ineffective, fear mongering security theater BS.

      • Dallas says:

Not that I’m a TSA fan (a government jobs program created by the GOP), but explain what crime is the TSA accused of by Honey Booboo and what law was broken.

        • tcc3 says:

I contend that the onerous and ineffective security measures are unreasonable searches under the 4th Amendment.

Even if that were not true, we still have the right and responsibility to argue, protest and champion against laws we think are unjust. I dont believe “legality” means we accept injustice and poor treatment lying down.

If everyone refused to be bullied in this way the law would change. But as you like to point out, people are sheep. So our civil liberties degrade, bit by bit.

        • Derek says:

It was a bipartisan government jobs program. The Repugs wanted a force to scan the travelers and the Democrats demanded it be a unionized government program instead of private.

    • phillip says:

      bootlicker

    • Publius says:

      Question: How do boots taste?

    • noname says:

      bootlicker

  2. UncDon says:

If anyone is blocking the line, it’s the bloated police and TSA agents. Don’t these people have a standard exercise regime, or is that considered an option?

  3. MikeN says:

Vote Tea Party, and hope the Rand Paul brigades can put a stop to things. Ron Paul held off the national health ID number, passed under Bill Clinton, from being implemented for the last 14 years.

    • noname says:

Why would anyone vote for a bunch of feral Tri-Corner Hat costumed clowns, violent radicals and 1% apologists?

The only freedoms Teabagger really care about seems to be freedom to be stupid and a tool.

Who can forget the Rand Paul Supporter Stomping the Head Of Female Democrat Outside KY Debate!

      • McCullough says:

The same people who can forget an Obama supporter and “Democrat of the Year” steals from an old blind woman living on 600.00 per month.

        Grow up Skippy.

        • noname says:

McCullough, I guess I just forgot how REPUKs are so…o honest and fair.

          Lets not forget our dear
          GOP leader Tom DeLay!

And of course there are plenty of other honest REPUKs to talk about.

I saw your poll, why is Romney in last? Do you want to see my POLE?

  4. Donal says:

    Obviously, the Taliban won.

  5. bobbo, we think with words, and flower with ideas says:

Well, that was quite jarring. Mom used to make fun of people who chewed gum like a cow chewing its cud. THERE SHE IS, the female (?) cop doing the same thing. Terrible what steroids can do.

If you don’t want to be inappropriately felt up, take the bus.

  6. plarsen says:

    The Gestapo is never wrong

  7. LibertyLover says:

I’m just SOOOOOOOO glad Obama put a stop to this.

And I’m glad the next president will continue to stop it.

  8. ECA says:

    sTUPID QUESTION.
how much do you need to weigh, to get a job??

  9. jim g says:

Here’s an idea…. don’t like TSA crap? DON’T FLY. Everyone just stop flying

    • Publius says:

Here’s a better idea: GTFO and STFU this is not Europe ya puss.

    • MikeN says:

Except under Pres Obama, TSA is expanding to trains. So what you mean is ‘don’t like TSA crap? DON’T FLY OR RIDE THE TRAIN’

TSA is also expanding to bus stations. So what you mean is ‘don’t like TSA crap? DON’T FLY OR RIDE THE TRAIN OR RIDE THE BUS’

TSA is also conducting highway checkpoints. So what you mean is ‘don’t like TSA crap? DON’T FLY OR RIDE THE TRAIN OR BUS OR DRIVE’

TSA has also appeared at football games, high school graduations and is pretty standard at all campaign rallies for Romney and Obama. So what you mean is ‘don’t like TSA crap? DON’T FLY OR RIDE THE TRAIN OR RIDE THE BUS OR DRIVE OR VOTE OR PLAY A SPORT OR LEARN’

  10. Publius says:

I for one applaud Andrea’s courage. She deserves recognition not probation.

  11. dcphill says:

After all that, don’t we feel safer now? All this groping and xray viewing is stupid and serves only the enemy. I for one refuse to fly anymore because of all the intrusive groping and xraying that I must endure because I have replacement metal joints in my knees.

  12. Ken Medlock says:

What a sad damning indictment on all of us for allowing our freedoms to be violated in this way.

We’ve become sheep that don’t deserve privacy (CCTV, Internet snooping) or freedom of movement.

FFS people. When is enough, enough?
