John link to show is not working none of them>
Can you please see whats the problem, I need my No Agenda fix!

  2. Ah_Yea says:

    Two things:

    This link does work:
    http://noagenda.mevio.com

And, how appropriate the topic! Just in:
    Obama’s war!

“WASHINGTON — If President Obama tuned in to the past week’s bracing debate on Capitol Hill about terrorism, executive power, secrecy and due process, he might have recognized the arguments his critics were making: He once made some of them himself.
Four years into his tenure, the onetime critic of President George W. Bush finds himself cast as a present-day Mr. Bush, justifying the muscular application of force in the defense of the nation while detractors complain that he has sacrificed the country’s core values in the name of security. ”

    Yup, Obama = Bush 2.0

“… he has sacrificed the country’s core values in the name of security.”

What was it Benjamin Franklin said, “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

I guess Barry was absent from school that day…

      • “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” – this is a very wise saying!

  3. hmeyers says:

    Perception is reality.

Bush was a war-time president and had to aggressively state things to boost morale after the psychological blow of 9/11 and the DC Muslim sniper guy and Indonesia bombing of mostly American hotel.

No one cares about that stuff any more, everyone cares only about jobs/healthcare as long as nothing in the US gets blown up.

Hats off to Obama for being able to slickly keep the dirty work going but doing it with no drama and dismissive semi-politically correct attitude and occasionally sending Hillary around to scare the shit out of the borderline countries.

Obama has been sharing and caring with Muslims in the form of communication they understand — drones, explosions, Osama’s head blown in half and dumped in the ocean violating Pakistan’s sovereignty doing it.

All politics aside, Obama’s done an A++ job on foreign policy unless someone knows something I don’t, which is quite possible …

      Good show.

Violent Islamic fundamentalism has spread faster during the last 4 years than at any time in history including the age of the caliphates.

Our military is staggeringly weaker. We can’t even keep our carrier forces at sea and that’s a killer. When the money runs out you aren’t a super power. At best you’re a has been pooper power. China owns us. They can break the dollar any time they want by dumping what we owe them after which the US is pffeet.

Media is better at covering up news than finding the real news but it looks like a lot of international trade is shifting over to gold based. It may not even be going through normal banking channels. Our role in this is village idiot.

Of course we aren’t the only messed up whatever. The Brits recently figured out that the City of London, which is now a financial center and certainly isn’t what most of us think is London, has a higher value than the rest of Great Britain in total. The French aren’t doing all that well either.

  4. Useless Eater says:

hmeyers: I’m surprised you listen to the show. Osama died a decade before Obama/SEAL Team 6 supposedly took him out.

  5. Kent says:

Seriously? You’ve never heard of Chris Hedges before? He’s hardly new to what’s going on.

  6. Kent says:

How many Wall Street investment bankers are in jail? Those are the one’s that are protected.

    • orchidcup says:

      They won’t go to jail

’cause they’re too big to fail.

Too big to fail. Won’t go to jail.

(Lyrics to a song I just made up).

    • BigBoyBC says:

I’ll bet they’re all low-level minions that were set-up to take the fall for the real crooks…

  7. sennheiser says:

The discussion of the LAPD officer was pretty anemic. Adam boiled things down to racist generalizations and ranted on about a copy of the manifesto that is well known to be an editied version of the original with all the AWB and Obama talk being tacked onto the original manifesto by some idiot. There is also a third version circulating which was the LAPD’s blessing as it has redacted all names of officers from it.
Hopefully Sunday’s show will have a better discussion of this topic. I know for a fact that drones are being used to monitor the area around Big Bear where they’re looking for Dorner.

  8. Rabid Monkey says:

I like hpw two shows ago Adam Curry’s response to the proof about men landing-on-the-moon video was to pooh-pooh it with nothing more than saying: “it’s not proof.” What a rapier wit he has concerning science. I am swooning as we speak. ROFLZ!

  9. Rabid Monkey says:

I do not listen to this show for the science. It is entertaining and enlightening, but ignorance can only go so far. Why these fools didn’t even understand what “salting one’s hash’ means in the science of cryptography. Give me a break!

  10. Rabid Monkey says:

In other words, the mere act of questioning the status-quo does not an Einstein make you.
