Biden Advises Shooting Shotgun Through Door – Virginia Beach man charged for doing exactly that

DENVER (CBS4) – A popular hunting shotgun could be banned under one of the bills moving through the state Capitol. A pump or semi-automatic shotgun is the gun most hunters in Colorado use. It’s a gun state Sen. Greg Brophy, R-Wray, says could be banned under a bill that’s already passed the House and Gov. John Hickenlooper says he’ll sign.

“They’re coming after the standard shotgun,” Brophy told CBS4 Political Specialist Shaun Boyd. Brophy says if Democrats succeed in passing a bill limiting large capacity magazines in Colorado, they’ll outlaw the most popular selling firearm for hunting. “Hundreds of thousands of pheasant hunters are probably going to be carrying around a gun they won’t be able to replace after July 1 this year,” he said.

Under the 1994 federal ban manufacturers redesigned the gun so the barrel couldn’t be extended. Brophy says it’s unlikely they’d do the same just for Colorado.72808_396182657136448_1711405789_n

“I don’t know if anybody is going to make guns specifically for the five million people living in Colorado,” he said. “We just might not be able to legally purchase a pump shotgun or a semi-automatic shotgun.”

Or sell, transfer or even lend one.

“The law is specific as of July 1. You can keep it, but only if you maintain continuous possession of it,” Brophy said. “If it breaks, you can’t give to a gunsmith even to fix it. You can’t hand it to your son to use. It’s all now outlawed because of this 1224, the bill that Gov. Hickenlooper says he’s going to sign … this is most extreme thing anybody’s ever done related to firearms.”

Just so we’re clear no matter what the sock puppet says, the liberals want to ban all guns. Got it?

I see the US headed for something that people probably thought could never happen here again, another revolutionary war. Are your rights worth dying for or is that something you hope someone else will do for you?

Think about that for a minute.

    • BigBoyBC says:

I don’t know if I would actually be willing to die to protect my rights, but I would definitely be willing to make sure the guy trying to take my rights, dies in his attempt to do so…

Decades of processing children through government schools seems to finally be paying off for our bureaucratic overlords.

As the older generations who actually had to fight and sacrificed to protect our freedoms grow old and die, more and more dumb-ass lightly educated people keep taking their place and voting for people based on how “cool” they look on television and not what actual qualifications they bring to the job.

Moving to Costa Rica is looking more and more attractive.

    • Dallas says:

Costa Rica gas stricter gun laws than the US and owning a gun is not a right. They don’t need or want your violent ass in this peace loving country – pura vida.

Have you looked into the Czech Republic ?

      • Dallis Miller says:

@Dallas “They don’t need or want your violent ass in this peace loving country – pura vida.

    This just in today!

“researchers have cataloged some 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps …

The figure is so staggering that even fellow Holocaust scholars had to make sure they had heard it correctly …
“We knew before how horrible life in the camps and ghettos was,” he said, “but the numbers are unbelievable.” …
The lead editors on the project, Geoffrey Megargee and Martin Dean, estimate that 15 million to 20 million people died or were imprisoned in the sites that they have identified as part of a multivolume encyclopedia. (The Holocaust museum has published the first two, with five more planned by 2025.) …
Dr. Dean, a co-researcher, said the findings left no doubt in his mind that many German citizens, despite the frequent claims of ignorance after the war, must have known about the widespread existence of the Nazi camps at the time.”

See the obvious connection to today??

(Note: Only the truly stupid or the willful collaborator will deny the similarities – just like the deniers back then)

  5. deowll says:

I believe that sums up the situation adequately Mr. McCullough.

  6. So what says:

Bullshit story. Current Colorado hunting regulations specify the shotgun cannot hold more than three shells in the magazine tube and chamber combined. So a hunter won’t have a shotgun with an extension tube as they wouldn’t be able to use it without being illegal anyway unless, a plug was put in it to allow no more than three rounds total in the gun. All shotguns for hunting, both pump and semiauto, that I have ever seen, including some older ones (1950 and 60’s) ship with a plug for or in the magazine tube to limit it from holding more than two rounds. Most states already have had this law in the wildlife code for decades.

Most states also have laws that limit rifles for hunting to usually no more than five rounds in the magazine and chamber combined. The 300 winmag I recently purchased only allows for three, two in the box one in the chamber.

If a hunter who came from a state where more than three/five rounds was allowed came to Colorado to hunt they should know the regulations before they arrive.

I used to get checked by the same Conservation Agent every year during dove and waterfowl season to make sure I hadn’t removed the plug. I guess he had a suspicious nature about me. No I never removed the plug.

Just agreeing. I grew up in a state with the same regs you just described. No one thought we were being put upon by some liberal conspiracy. Some of us enjoyed hunting birds that way. Population density was sufficient in most counties to limit deer hunting to 12 gauge deer slugs so you wouldn’t put a 30-06 round through a schoolhouse down the road if you missed the deer.

Maybe that’s why they’re called deer slugs? Ya think?

Oh, and none of us felt our manhood was threatened by not having a 12 gauge drum magazine.

      • McCullough says:

“Population density was sufficient in most counties to limit deer hunting to 12 gauge deer slugs so you wouldn’t put a 30-06 round through a schoolhouse down the road if you missed the deer. – Maybe that’s why they’re called deer slugs? Ya think?” –

I think your New England state is not Colorado, with the largest area of Wilderness in the 50 Contiguous states. So your analogy falls flat on its face.

    • dusanmal says:

One teeny itsy-bitsy problem here… HUNTING regulations regulate sport of hunting. Not life in general. It is fine to regulate HUNTING weapons in the act of HUNTING. However, inalienable, Constitutional right to bear arms is non-specific. In the Constitutional USA one must be able to posses such gun, just can’t use it for HUNTING if state does not permit that. In Unconstitutional USA, they can try to extend the ban to the very act of possesion which is in direct opposition to the4 Constitution as killing or imprisoning a citizen without trial, forbidding of speech,…

      • dusanmal says:

Just an example of how those two things are different from my own life: I just moved to NJ. Here I am forbidden to hunt anything with a hunting rifle (NJ limits all hunting to shotguns). However, I have proper, full, uninterrupted right to posses hunting rifle. I just can’t hunt with it in NJ.

      • Bob says:

Oooohhh, he played the Fox news card. Since I never watch Fox News lets just say that dog won’t hunt…..so to speak.

But just because I am against this attempt on another of our Constitutional rights, then I just MUST be a Fox News watching Republican.

I invite you to remove your head from your ass at any time you wish.

    • Randall says:

You’re partially correct. If the shotgun is capable of being modified to hold more than the allowed capacity it would not be legal for sale in the state. Since most pump and auto shotguns are capable of being modified (mag tube extension) they could not be sold in the state. The most popular shotguns like the Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 could not be sold in Colorado.

You can keep what you have and continue to use it, but you would never be able to replace it or buy another.

      • Rick says:

I’m sure Mossberg and Remington would make “Colorado Compliant” shotguns. Always looking for that extra buck.

  8. John E. Quantum says:

G Gordan Liddy used to write a security column in Forbes. He recommended a 12 gauge shotgun for in home protection with the caveat that it would create a mess when used. Buckshot at close range has real stopping power. A Remington 1100 (with the plug removed) will bridge those precious moments between when trouble arrives and the police finally get there.

    • Rick says:

4 star general Norman Schwarzkopf kept a double barrel shotgun by his bed during desert storm as a last ditch defense in case a terrorist got by security.

      • LibertyLover says:

I keep a double barrel shotgun loaded and within reach of my bed, too. Shotguns are great for home defense.

They suck at keeping the government in line, though.

        • Rick says:

I’ve yet to see any citizens rebellion that has ever succeeded without the military switching sides and working with the rebels.
The idea of citizens and their pop guns taking down a government is just rightwing fantasyland. Revolutions are political, with gunplay as a sideshow.

  9. Mextli says:

I think Dianne Feinstein wanted to require a background check for a barbeque lighter shaped like a pistol in her bill. It could only be used to light grills smaller than 32 inches. Finally some common sense!

  10. Rick says:

States rights man, if you don’t like it then you hate the constitution.

    • Bob says:

Silly Rick, you still think we have States rights in this country?

I will say this, however, following the constitution, this does fall into the purview of the States. If they want they should be able to limit this as long as their constitution does not forbid such a thing. The federal government on the other hand, once again following the constitution, has no power in this regard. Of course its not like that has ever stopped Obama in the past.

      • Rick says:

I agree. If a congressman wants to strongarm a city he can by nullifying laws with his own legislation. Thats how gas fracking happens even though some cities ban it, congress just overrides their ordinances illegally, and they get a healthy kickback from the oil and gas industry.

  11. msbpodcast says:

I feel sorry for people in CO but, they elected the bastard… (Can you imagine what the other guy was like?)

And don’t worry about it. That only applies to people who are stupid enough to believe in that particular law.

  12. Dick says:

More evidence of how the liberals for the People’s Republic of Boulder have subverted and now INFECTED the State of Colorado. (It could have something to do with all those other idiot Hollywood Californian’s who occasionally travel to Aspen or Vail.)

Colorado’s political majority (in both houses and the executive branch all being Democrat) seem to forget that WYOMING is not that far away. Forget Kansas, Nebraska or even Utah. (I might have also said New Mexico but that’s a whole other set of problems.) Cheyenne Wyoming which is only about 100 miles away from Denver is far more “right wing” where any gun laws seem say that if you don’t have one that you’re not a real citizen.

But Denver, which is where the State Capitol is located, seems to be where all the so called “gun crimes” are occurring. Go figure! Not so much in Colorado Springs, Pueblo or even Grand Junction (the majority of those populations being mostly Republican, by the way). Most of the “gun violence” for Colorado occurs in Denver and surrounding areas like Boulder. That is, unless you’re a bird or elk or something.

You might also note that of the 4 major cities in Colorado that only the Denver and surrounding areas has just slightly more than half of the states population. The remaining 40-percent or so are mostly in those other city areas that I mentioned. Only about 10 percent really live in rural towns or small communities not significantly impacted by any of those other cities. So naturally, if you’re a liberal in Colorado and legislating from Denver the “solution” seems quite reasonable – fuck em! Just like Washington!!!

And if you ever happen to see our Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper (who made his fortune in the bar business), is it really such a coincidence that he bares a strikingly resemblance to another famous figure? Howdy Doody?! A PUPPET!!!

    • Dick says:

… And before I forget. There is already some talk about John Hickenlooper making a run for the Presidency!

So if you ask me, he does have the name for it. He’s already implied though actions like this that he will be like a “dick-in-pooper” rectally screwing anyone who isn’t on board with his liberal “agenda”.
