A few days ago I walk into a local marijuana club in San Jose. I have a prescription to treat depression. I told the doctor that running out of pot causes me to be depressed and that getting pot cures it. So the first thing I notice is:

We no longer accept credit cards or debit cards. (Directions to nearest ATM machine)

So I asked, “What’s that all about?” And it turns out that because marijuana is still federally illegal that the DEA just comes into the bank and cleans out all their money. And we talked for some time about it. They said this kind of thing never happened under Bush.

So if Obama is such a liberal then why is he harassing pot clubs while at the same time his justice department has yet to prosecute any of the 2008 bankers who stole trillions of dollars?

As someone who voted for Obama twice it turns out he’s the second worst president ever. And a lot more of a disappointment than Bush because of my higher expectations.

  1. Mc Ninny says:

    What did you expect?

    • Marc Perkel says:

That he ignore it like Clinton and Bush did.

      • Mc Ninny says:

Once more..When the feds raid those places they take the names from the “Pot cards” from the computers these places keep, and know exactly who has been buying there. I direct your attention to Santa Ana Calif. Where Undercover officers were seen on a “Hidden” Camera eating Marijuana edibles. They like to Take out the Cameras first, then raid the dispensaries. Are they afraid of being identified? Probably a Majority of them. Obama said he would not go after these “Medical Dispensaries” but how does this weigh in with the states of Colorado, and Washington? Those states are supposedly “Legal” but it is ..Yes..Still Illegal in every state due to Federal law. Ignore it?

      • NewFormatSux says:

Bill Clinton didn’t ignore it. Conservative writers loved praising his drug arrest numbers just to needle liberals. And no states had legalized at that point beyond medical in California and I think Oregon.

It is obvious Hillary will be the same as Obama or worse on the issue. The only one who might be worse is Christie. But Rand Paul vs Hillary, and of course you will support Hillary, despite NSA, wars, and drugs.

  2. Blog Whisperer says:

You voted for this clown not once BUT TWICE!!!!!!

    What is wrong with you?

    • Marc Perkel says:

He ran against McCain and Romney who were even worse!

    • Wayne R says:

Republicans didn’t offer someone better. We are still voting for the lesser of evils in the US.

      • Blog Whisperer says:

No, you are. And in hindsight, I think Romney would have been a much better choice than this POS.

        • Ah_Yea says:

Yes exactly, and anyone not a democratic acolyte would have seen the same thing.
Even now, as much as I like Marc, he still thinks any Republican would be worse than any democrat. He still thinks like a schoolgirl full of emotion and not like a seasoned adult who can look at the facts. Same for all liberals.

If it was Rand Paul, the libertarian, against Hillary, I think his head would explode.

  3. Hmeyers says:

Not being able to use a credit card to buy pot at store sounds like an inconvenience, at most.

You walk down the street to an ATM and come back.

Of course, in America with all the fat people they are probably afraid they might get some exercise or have to use their leg muscles.

[I think they should legalize all drugs and put organized crime out of business permanently, once and for all.

They could put pictures of meth users with rotten teeth on the meth packages, a heroin user in the gutter with HIV and abscesses on the heroin packages.]

  4. spsffan says:

It’s quite simple, really. It’s easy to steal from pot dispenseries. Not so easy to put bankers in jail. The former makes money, the later costs money. I for the life of me don’t know why drugs are illegal or why we need a DEA, but if you’re going to have one, you have to fund it somehow! Anyway, I wouldn’t use plastic at the pot shop anyway, until things are 100% legal at the federal and state level…it’s just asking for trouble.

Oh, deportation is up under Obama, too.

And, while I voted for him the first time, because my party put up a Republican (Bob Barr). The second time around, I had a halfway decent choice, in Gary Johnson.

    • NewFormatSux says:

Deportations are not up under Obama. They merely fudged the numbers to make the claim. Mainly, they started counting people caught at the border and sent back as ‘deportations’, never counted before.
They also accelerated some deportations by cutting deals to clear out their backlog, which stopped as soon as they could claim ‘deportations are up’.

  5. STFU! says:

The man had NO EXPERIENCE when you “dumb-as-crap’s” voted for MISTER ZERO! So if you don’t like it — especially if you voted TWICE for it (you stupid motherfucker) — you can BLAME YOURSELF for the ass fucking we’re ALL taking. It’s not like the INTELLIGENT people weren’t warning you or anything.

And about any Bankers going to jail? COME ON! Who the fuck do you think FUNDED HIS CAMPAIGN?! (Do you really think ol’ Dubya would have got the free pass Mister Zero did?!)

I swear! You stupid ASSES say Republican’s are corrupt — yes they ARE! But the “repukes” PALE by comparison! Just look at your all knowing and powerful ASS MASTERS — the press — who ALWAYS look the other way some elected ass finds himself in political hot water. Funny how WE all get the shit! Funny also how no one associates shit from an ASS either. And right now, you don’t have to look any further than IRAN to see the NEXT colon cramming coming your way. (You partisan fuckhead!)

  6. NewFormatSux says:

Liberalism is built on the idea that the government is supreme, particularly the federal government.

  7. Mr Anderson says:

The politicians don’t run things, they are just puppet heads for the big corporations. Big corporations aren’t into the weed thing, so the Blue Nazis get to do their dirty work.

  8. NewFormatSux says:

Didn’t this blog just post about Kim Davis and the need for government officials to follow the law?

  9. mojo says:

    “voted for Obama twice”

Shallow learning curve. It was obvious he had nothing from day one.

  10. Semantic says:

If the author of this post is going to steal jokes from Ron White he should at least give him credit for it.

  11. Mongo's Ox says:

Only 11 more days till the legal pot stores open here, about the same time the legal harvest will come in, go Beavers. LGY

  12. Eddie says:

“So if Obama is such a liberal then why is he harassing pot clubs while at the same time his justice department has yet to prosecute any of the 2008 bankers who stole trillions of dollars?”

I have seen nothing that suggests that liberalism stands against the big banking industry. In fact, lying and stealing appear to be completely legal in the US today.

  13. sarsa says:

I still think that Obama is a good president.

  14. peter says:

me too 🙂 Obama is good:)

  15. Isabel says:

I look at the issue of medical marijuana from a bit different angle. At least there is a debate about it and you have marihuana clubs in USA. I spent a few years in Poland. Here there is not even any talking about making medical marijuana legal even though the issue is regularly raised by the society and completely ignored by the government and administration. There are parents who go abroad to bring medical marijuana for their greatly suffering children (for example marijuana works miracles for drug-resistant epilepsy that can’t be cured by traditional treatment), get arrested and are jailed.
