The story of the picking of this woman has bothered me from the beginning. Whose idea was this after all? Has anyone considered the possibility that this woman is actually Bush’s true confidant and a Svengali or Rasputin-like character? Somebody has to be. She plays the role of the slavish lackey, but can the opposite be true? Some looks can be deceiving, but what looks? She’s the one who was put in charge of picking a Supreme Court Candidate and she picked herself.
I’m not the only one seeing this resemblance I can assure you

As a corporate attorney in 1995, Miers stepped into a battle between trial lawyers and proponents of limiting lawsuits. She pressed the future president to veto legislation that would have blocked the Texas Supreme Court from limiting attorney fees.

When I first read that she was the family lawyer, the first think that jumped to my mind was “What does she have on him?”
Lets see, She was in charge of piucking a new person for the SP, and chose herself.
Cheney was asked to pick a VP running mate for Bush. and he chose himself.
Sound familiar? I just think they could find anyone who wanted to do it.

As said before: this lady is a ringer who will deplete all the opposition’s venom and hostility through a combative and unsuccessful confirmation hearing. Any replacement candidate will then face an exhausted opposition. Bush will then understadibly offer up someone to appease his primary constituancy.
You’re crazy if you think she’s running anything. At best she helped cover up the National Guard story while at the Texas Lottery Commission.
