    There is a lot of info. on the effects of soot and the melting of glaciers and the polar ice cap.

    Shell’s game is to build terminals for the importation of LNG from Qatar to the U.S. The sooty coal industry would, of course, prefer to block the LNG infrastructure expansion.

    Back in the 70’s and 80’s I lived within 1/4 mile of a coal burning power plant. It was filthy in the 70’s but in the early 80’s They installed “scrubbers” and you would never know they burnt coal, very clean. Importing LNG sounds like another way of making us less energy self-reliant…
