Two Jehovah’s Witnesses ‘murdered 13 people on mission from God to cleanse world of sinners’ | Mail Online — Show this article to those folks who show up at your doorstep and slam the door fast.

Gurianov – who locals said had ‘mad eyes’ – and Egorycheva first met at a Jehovah’s Witnesses sect meeting 16 years ago.

When they were reunited late last year, Egorycheva allegedly told him she had a vision and they must travel to the Volga region to carry out God’s wishes.

She said: “God wants us to go to Nizhniy Novgorod and cleanse the world of sinners”.

A neighbour said: “They were very odd. He called her “mother” or “Princess Elena”. She called him “my son, Prince Mikhail”.

“Gurianov used to say they had a certain mission. No-one took them very seriously but then the killings began.”

The first victim was a fortune teller Ludmila Kostina, 51, with whom they made an appointment after seeing her advert in a local papers.

So many sick people on this earth. Maybe I should stop messing with them from now on.. I don’t want to get shot. Usually I answer the door and ask them to hold on a couple minutes while I do something or get dressed its different usually. Then i leave and never come back while they wait at my door for 10 minutes not knowing if they should leave or if I’ll come out any second. Sometimes i even add a “one more minute” after they have been waiting for five. Muahaha

  2. edwinrogers says:

They murdered a fortune teller? I guess she didn’t see that coming.

  3. mthrnite says:

First off, “lol” at #2. Also, as a non-goddist, my first inclination is to go “see! see!, see where it gets ya?”, but though I’m of the mind that religion doesn’t really do anybody any good, I see this story as a mis-representation of the JWs. JWs, the vast majority of them anyway, are out to save you, or barring that, to completely ignore you. They usually don’t kill you, usually. I always talk to ’em when they knock on my door, and it’s generally pretty interesting. Then me and the kids make paper airplanes out of the free watchtower they give us. It’s all good.

  4. R.O.P. says:

This almost a National Enquirer kind of story. Using barely provable associations with fringe religious groups almost 16 years old is only done for sensationalism. Maybe we should keep track of every felon’s religious history. How many depraved murders have been perpetrated by Catholics, Lutherans, Universalists, or Assemblies of God members? Does that make any of those religions responsible for the actions of nut jobs and criminals? Yeah JW’s and Mormons bug you at your door on Sunday. Trust me, all the other religions I have mentioned just bug people in third world countries. Do you think they like that kind of interruption any more than you?

  5. Gasbag says:

Another reason not to answer the door when JW come

  6. Mister Ketchup says:

    From the article:
Gurianov, clearly enjoying recounting his deeds, replied: “God told us to go and take the money. He said: ‘Go there and take as much as you need.’ So we did”.

God was just fucking with these guys.

  7. Special Ed says:

They should put them in the Jehovah’s Witness Protection Program.

  8. Angel H. Wong says:

This explains why Michael Jackson is so messed up.

  9. Glenn E. says:

I mostiy agree with #4. Crazy people usually justify what they’re doing, with reference to a “higher power”. So where religion is either a good set of guidelines, or comfort in stressful times, for perfectly sane persons. It works the same way for insane people. Religion can be an equal opportunity employer for either. It does not judge who is worth of it. Perhaps it should, but I don’t know how.

I think this current news item is obviously aimed at Sarah Palin. Not that she shouldn’t have something aimed at her. Perhaps they should rerun that movie “The Dead Zone” a lot more. I think you know what part of it, I’m referring to. The Martin Sheen part. She’s welcome to believe what she wants to. I’m just not comfortable with how much of it she might bring to the table of world affairs. Most likely, she’d be kept in a closet during her term (if elected). So she can’t screw things up between nations. And what good would that be to the rest of us? Just another figurehead, to get elected, so the “party” can run things.
Frankly I think she’s way over her head, and knows it. And all she seems to be good for right now, is making a few rehearsed interviews where she basically saids, “I’m against everything that Barack Obama stands for, because it can’t be good.” She’s become a walking Yellow Journalist candidate. Which is probably her only strong suit (her BS degree). Great for getting one elected to small town government. Horrible for co-running a nation. The more I hear her speak, the more I start to hope there’s some sharpshooter who has his own brand of religious guidance. They’ll cancel out each other. Ya see? God can work in mysterious ways.

  10. James Hill says:

I’m guessing it will take more than 13 to stop the bailout program.

  11. brendal says:

    Thou shalt not kill

    …kinda

  12. Jägermeister says:

#2 – edwinrogers – They murdered a fortune teller? I guess she didn’t see that coming.

    LMAO

  13. 1hitKO says:

The story is a lie. Jehovah’s witnesses refuse to participate in carnal warfare or murder even if it means imprisonment torture or death. (Nazi Germany for example). Those Psychotics could not possibly have been Jehovah’s Witnesses, despite what they claim.

  14. Bob says:

Interesting that this story – which conflicts with everything that Jehovah’s Witnesses stand for – comes from Russia, where bans have been placed on them in some areas. Media running with a nutjob story that reinforces the governments decision?

  15. Rabble Rouser says:

I don’t know how old that cartoon in the original post is, but about 20 years ago, I answered the door just like that when the JW came one Sunday, and they never have darkened my doorstep since!

I found it quite amusing, and true!

  16. Mr. Fusion says:

    #13, shit,

Those Psychotics could not possibly have been Jehovah’s Witnesses, despite what they claim.

Why not? They lie about there being a god.

  17. qsabe says:

I love having them as guest. Invite them in for coffee and have a long discussion of religion. Sadly, they never return.. Sigh! They do often gather on the other side of the street and point at my house as they converse among themselves.

I don’t find them to be vindictive, just obsessed the same as other superstitious folks.

  18. The Monster's Lawyer says:

I have a devil worship shrine at my front door where I keep my Satan mask and pitchfork for the odd religious visitor.

  19. moemoe says:

J.W’s do not believe in the after life, they beleive in paradise and living forever if you follow GOD’s laws. God gave man free will, the right to choose which way to tread. Would you answer the door if it was Jesus himself knocking? Matthew chap 10 read the whole thing, it teaches you how to follow jesus’s ministry. Would you say Jesus taught you how to kill? J.W’s follow the bible to a T. I really do not see any other religion doing as the bible tells. Please do not blame a religion or GOD for man’s action. Doesn’t that seem just dumb?

  20. R.O.P. says:

Not 100% true moemoe, but close enough. I don’t believe in God but I grew up in a JW household. My father spent 3.5 years in prison for refusing to kill people in the Korean War. He didn’t run to Canada, he took his “worldly” punishment, a bold move in that time period. I didn’t suffer from some of the horror stories that seem to abound from weird corners of society surrounding JW’s. Frankly, if more people followed the bible’s teachings like the JW’s and Quakers do, there wouldn’t be much violence or war in this world (although there may be some other problems that need to be dealt with). Doesn’t the Patriot Act require some kind of religious validation for US citizens?

  21. [click my website for case histories of murder and mayhem in the Jehovah’s Witnesses]

Jehovah’s Witnesses are intolerant bigoted fanatics.

The very inception of JWs was based on hate. They hate the world, they hate other religions, they hate everything about “this system of things.”

In the very least the Jehovah’s Witnesses have the same rate of succumbing to the lust of the 7 deadly sins as any other religion or group. THEY JUST WHITEWASH IT !!
