California’s white population has declined since 2000 at an unprecedented rate, hastening the day when Hispanics will be the state’s largest population group, according to newly released state figures.

Analysts said the decline can be attributed to two main causes – a natural population decrease as Baby Boomers enter their later years and die at a faster rate than younger whites have children, and a migration from California since 2001 among whites who sought affordable housing as real estate costs soared.

The study also confirmed projections that a steadily growing Hispanic population will surpass whites as the state’s largest racial demographic in 2016. Hispanics are expected to become a majority of all Californians in 2042, Heim said.

John has posted previously about the movement to take Southwest states from the US.

A University of New Mexico Chicano Studies professor predicts a new, sovereign Hispanic nation within the century, taking in the Southwest and several northern states of Mexico.

Truxillo, 47, has said the new country should be brought into being “by any means necessary,” but recently said it was unlikely to be formed by civil war. Instead, its creation will be accomplished by the electoral pressure of the future majority Hispanic population in the region, he said.

Why would hard working Mexicans who have struggled to make a life in California turn around and provide any pressure at all to:

    1. Include the much more poor and corrupt parts of Northern Mexico, and
    2. Separate from the Rest of USA?

Stinkin’ Thinkin’ from any which way I can think of. Why you hatin’ so much?

  3. JMRouse says:

This is ridiculous. It’s not going to happen. First of all a state can not simply vote itself out of the USA (I live in Texas and remind people of this all the time). Secondly, a majority of the Mexican people coming here, do so because the way of life in America is currently better then it is in Mexico. There is more opportunity to earn money and become successful. This screams fear mongering to me.

  4. Floyd says:

    Bobbo: exactly.
First of all, Texas, New Mexico, California, and Arizona deliberately requested to be states of the US many years ago. Immigrants from Mexico (legal or not) come here for jobs that pay far better than those in Mexico. They also come to the States to escape the drug wars, I’m sure.

It’s more likely that the Mexican area shown in blue on the map would want to attach itself to the US, and have the FBI/Army/whatever come in and get rid of the drug lords. In short, Truxillo is out of his mind.

  5. echeola says:

Would it really be that bad if the bankrupt state of California and the weird conservative state of Texas left the union.

  6. eighthnote says:

In light of all the talk about securing our borders, I have to ask – is he referring to the population that’s here legally? Either way I see this as little more than academic exercise. It seems quite far-fetched to suggest that the ethnic makeup of a geographical area will trigger any kind of territorial change.

  7. SN says:

    Re: 6.

    Good point echeola.

  8. Greg Allen says:

Oh, c’mon. This story is nothing but red meat to the racist Mexian bashers who are frothing at the mouth and soiling their pants these days.

California leave the US? You gotta be kidding.

  9. Faxon says:

Hispanic majority? Of course. They fuck like bunnies, and keep sneaking in. One more incentive to get the hell out of this wreck of a state. Two more years, and I’m gone. Thinking more of Idaho these days. Fewer greasers.

  10. Faxon says:

So. Why don’t they want Nevada, Utah, or Oregon or Washington? I mean, the squatters are taking every other damn thing they can get their hands on, why not just take the entire West coast up to Alaska? “Si se puede.”
    “Kiss my ass.”

  11. brian t says:

I’ve been wondering about this, and have to agree. It’s Idiocracy in action, with only some sectors of the population choosing to limit their procreation.

However, I don’t think the northern border would be at the current CA/OR border. Instead, I’d say it would be about halfway between LA and SF, reflecting the demographic divide between N and S California.

  12. nolimit662 says:

A Sovereign hispanic nation? Don’t they have that already with the f*cked up country they call MEXICO!??

  13. Maricopa says:

“its creation will be accomplished by the electoral pressure of the future majority Hispanic population”

Oh, well. No problem then since them majority are illegal and can’t vote. Unless Obama figures out a way to give illegals the vote. Which is a real possibility.

Pedro: “You can hear people in Mexico talking about “reclaiming their land”

And who can blame them? Look at all they’ve done with the land south of the border. Imagine, five years or so after they ‘reclaim’ their land, San Diego will be fully developed and indistinguishable from Tijuana.

  14. Somebody_Else says:

I don’t see why the US isn’t moving to annex northern Mexico. I mean, they all want to live in the US anyway. They’re going to come here whether we like it or not. We might as well get some land out of the deal.

As for this “Republica Del Norte,” lol no.

  15. rufus says:

    @bobbo

Because the racist Mexican agitators are being bankrolled by drug lords and their New World Order bankers.

  17. bnanaspliz says:

While we all debate this issue we must first use our minds. There is in every nation a form of documentation that speaks for the people or the leaders of that nation. In the United States we have one of the most crucial documents ever known to man; it’s called The Constitution (and the bill of rights) These documents have never before been seen in any nation. It was with great thought and understanding and careful orchestration that formed this very precious document. The Declaration of independence is another one that all people should read. Both of these documents explain why the United States even came into existence. We as a Nation have the right to defend the liberties outlined in the Constitution and to defend them from any and all invaders foreign and domestic. Maybe they don’t teach this any longer in the schools because we have a soft underbelly nation that is formed mostly by bleeding heart liberals on both sides of the aisle. Many of these politicians and the special interest groups that back them are very interested in dismantling the Constitution and what it stands for. It stands for a sense of freedom unlike any other nation has given to its citizens. It affords us the rights to challenge our government when it does not live up to that historical document. No other country ever, in the history of the world has ever given such rights to its citizens. To have any nation defile, by illegal immigration, or legal ways is against that right. Mexico has never really been a friend to the USA, never. What many fail to see it that this is the small of it, There are 13 powerful families of money and nations that seek to destroy the most successful democracy on the face of the planet. They will do it by what ever means they can. Mexico is just a pawn as are other nations and people in the game to dismantle our Constitution and our Nation. If we all seek to protect this great experiment in Democracy and Capitalism then we must not fight each other, but the Politicians that gain financially from the destruction of the USA. We must put strong leaders in office that will protect our borders, ports and points of entry. We must seek to help other nations bring their people to prosperity rather than bring down one that once was prosperous, the USA. When we demand that people in Mexico, Asia, and India and African nations pay a better wage than 36 cents to 1.50 cents an hour for work and help people become prosperous in their own countries they will not wish to come here. They will wish to build their own countries and uplift out of poverty their own people. Zietgiest, kymatica, the addendum and other informative videos are on line to help you see more truth. The real issue is who is controlling the masses, it’s greed, money, religion and hate. Don’t let those blind your commitment to find an answer for all people. One last note, The U S Civil war was not fought over slavery, it was over whether or not a State could secede from the nation. The answer was clear, no they can not. For anyone to think that they can because of color of skin or ethnicity or religion change that, they are mistaken and in for a terrible reality of justice. Come here to the USA to become a citizen, come here legally or go home, give up your citizenship from where you came, learn english, acclimate, assimilate and be grateful of this Great Democracy and protect it. If you can’t do those things you don’t belong here, because you are part of the problem and not the solution.

  18. chuck says:

I don’t see why a Hispanic majority would want a separate country, or why they would want to be part of Mexico.

What they want is more political power within the states. At the moment, increasing the Hispanic population through a higher birth-rate and illegal immigration contributes to that goal.

As soon as they have the political power, they’ll want the border sealed, or they’ll start encouraging immigration further north into Oregon, Nevada, Utah, etc.

In Canada, the french-speaking population only has a majority in Quebec. So they encourage french-speaking immigrants (from Haiti, Africa, etc) to move there. Quebec has often actively considered separation. But they’ve come to realize that they can get more from the rest of Canada by staying part of the country, while maintaining their own political control within Quebec.

  19. dvdchris says:

I swear to you in Texas it would be all out war before anything like this would take place. You want to find out how fast a border can be locked down?

  22. theBadSteveO says:

The title of the link pointing to the article, “How much longer will California remain a part of the United States” points out SN’s belief that the United States of America is really only for white people. I suppose SN thinks only “pure blooded” white people like his (or her) ethnically clean and pure back ground (possibly generations and generations of English royalty) are entitled to the live in the United States.

I think it’s great when racists self identify. At least you know who you’re dealing with.

  24. amodedoma says:

Truxillo is one smart cookie, this is just the kind of BS that’ll make him a hero amongst hispanics even if nobody takes him seriously. 25. Mextli says:

#24 “I suppose SN thinks only “pure blooded” white people like his (or her) ethnically clean and pure back ground (possibly generations and generations of English royalty) are entitled to the live in the United States.”

Where did you get that? No where was it mentioned or implied that any one group is entitled to live in the US. Talk about a distorted view. Did you read the last paragraph?

    I live in AZ.

I can tell you that it’s “common knowledge” among the non-white population that the southwest is land stolen from the Mexican natives, and that it needs to be re-claimed.

You hear a lot of “we didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us” type of talk.

It seems to be so ingrained that no one makes a big deal about it.

    It’s bizarre, really.

And while the general population isn’t thinking about it in terms of reclamation, the professors certainly are.

  30. EricPhillips says:

The guy is a conspiracy nut. I have heard a lot recently about Mexican “succession” groups trying to seize parts of the South West. Like Bill O’Reilly’s fascination with La Raza. Frankly, I don’t think this would happen unless the US collapses and breaks apart. Why would anyone in their right mind emigrate to a country with a much better economy, trade, and government than the one they come from (Mexico), then break away and limit themselves. Well, I guess Quebec has tried, and if they did they are in a position to fail (no routes to the oceans, etc.).

I have lived in both South Florida, with its huge Cuban population, and So Cal with its large Hispanic and Asian populations. The majority want to be Americans. Only a limited number of kooks want succession (like those kooky militia groups and Texas Guv’nors). And the only ones who are terrorizing us with the idea are people who are losing their majority status, and will scare you to keep it (yeah, I mean racists).

Maybe O’Reilly should be reminded that long ago, they used to talk about the Irish in the same way.
