Dr. Sonnet Ehlers has invented Rape-axe, a female device with jagged hooks that latch onto a man’s penis during penetration.

The doctor is distributing 30,000 of these condoms in South Africa during this year’s World Cup.

“It hurts,” Ehlers told CNN. “He cannot pee and walk when it’s on. If he tries to remove it, it will clasp even tighter.”

South Africa has one of the highest rape rates in the world, according to Human Rights Watch. It is also believed that 16 percent of the population is living with HIV. Rape-axe is inserted like a tampon and when embedded to a man the device can only be removed by a doctor.

Interesting device, to say the least.

In 3rd world countries, you can’t even get them to use birth control. No doubt this will be just about as effective at solving the proposed problem.

Anyone else think it is strange that the picture of the inventor is white, but in reality 90% of South Africa is black.

What racist feelings does this white woman harbor against black men? <– that was a joke

  2. Dallas says:

This is good reason for straights to carry a test dildo with them. Get one with an LED light and screwdriver set to address any embarrassing questions.

    Eweeee

  3. Brisbane Oswald says:

Looks like somebody just read Neal Stephenson’s “Snow Crash”
Now they need to figure out how to get it to inject a tranquilizer.

  4. akallio says:

    > the device can only be removed by a doctor.

I bet I could get it off with a pair of dikes, uh, diagonal cutters.

  5. Hhopper says:

    @ Brisbane Oswald

Snow Crash was an excellent novel.

Apparently Africans have never heard of scissors.

I’m with #22. Armed women don’t get raped. But I’d gladly take one of these bear traps on my junk over having to listen to those vuvuzelas!

And, the inventor, judging from the picture, has never had a penis inside her anyway :).

  8. wamalamadingdong says:

The inventor can’t be a medical doctor, if she is, she needs to lose her license.

I’m guessing that the rapist will be MUCH more likely to kill his victim.

I can’t imagine wearing this inside me just in case of an attempted rape. But the snub nosed 38 strapped to my thigh is a pretty good deterrent, and it’s cute.

  9. The DON says:

I am surprised that this has only been mentioned once in the posts, but not many people considering the malicious uses for this……..

We put them on all the choir boys.

  11. Rick Cain says:

It would be a great practical joke on your cellmate if you end up in prison. Just insert it in your anus, go to sleep and the laugh riot begins.

  12. RicoSauve says:

A thing mentioned only a few times in jest, but it is true. Anal? When this gets around on the street, no more vaginal rapes, it’s all anal now baby!

Here’s a question: sure it stops 1 guy, but what about gang rapes? You can be damn sure that if 2 or more guys are raping a girl and the first one gets one of these they other(s) are NOT going to take it easy on the girl.

While some mentioned about the “Dr” willfully disregarding the Hippocratic oath for this wonderful bit of misandry, how can this so called Dr overlook the fact that you’re now causing an OPEN WOUND of the genitals that are engaged in a sexual act? One of the ways STDs get transmitted from women to men is through wounds on the penis. Also, the penis would start bleeding inside the vagina, negating the STD prevention of this “condom”.

I’m not sure what the significance of “not able to pee” is, but it seems an odd thing to mention.

And alright fellas, you thought that crazy bitch at the bar was just going to trap you by getting pregnant and claiming you as the father? Well, now your ex, current gf, or even complete stranger you’re picking up will be able to seduce you and then pin a rape charge on you because this device is stuck to you.

I just can’t fathom how this got approved by any medical board.

I’m not too sure about female condoms in general, as they’re not popular around here, but don’t you pretty much do the same as with male condoms and generally only put them on just before coitus? I mean I certainly don’t put a condom on before I get to the bar… unless it’s one of those *really* seedy places…

  13. Twoapples says:

THATS AN EXCELLENT DEVICE AND SO WELL ADVERTISED, DONT YOU THINK THE RAPIST SAW THE ADD? IF SO BELEIVE ME THEY WILL MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE DEVICE BEFORE HE PENETRATE!!
AND WOULD MOST PROBABLY BE PISSED OFF AND COULD RESULT IN KILLING HER FOR THAT MATTER?
    DAG EK SE MARNET.
