Sounds like he’s ready to retire…good riddance.

In case anyone wants to tell him what a great job he is doing.

  2. Mextli says:

Never wonder why Congress has the approval rating it does. This fat arrogant pig is an insult to all voters.

  3. Mike_in_Newark says:

John, Didn’t you vote for Stark back when you lived in Newark?

This is a guy I have been voting against ever since he decided to refuse the simple request of not campaigning in the streets while the Newark Days parade was in progress. This was a request made of all the candidates at the time and it was for everyone’s safety. It was okay to talk to people while off the street (on the sidewalk) during the parade or afterwards in the park where the parade ended, but not in the street where a parade participant could accidently hit someone who was not paying attention. All of the other candidates abided by this request except Stark who defiantly insisted on his right to free speech while ignoring the potential danger he was placing his constituents, the parade participants and himself in while promoting himself.

Watching him over the years as my Congressman just continued to reinforce the impression that he cares more for his own pet ideas and getting re-elected than in listening to his constituents or making sound laws. Of course why should he listen to us when he just about guaranteed re-election by his obviously gerrymandered district where many of the people who vote for him do so mainly because he has the “correct letter” after his name on the ballot. My take is that we are probably stuck with him until he retires (hopefully that is not too much longer).

    #3 bullshit.

Who in their right mind supports the stupid law that AZ has passed? Perhaps you’re not of Hispanic, or Native American decent (read you’re white) so this law won’t effect your milky white ass since you’ll never get harassed by police if your skin is even remotely of a brown shade.

I have no idea why “conservatives” want to lock down our borders. Mexican illegals are the new slave labor of the 21st century. The USA became a super power starting out on the backs of negro slaves hundreds of years ago; now we can get it back again with cheap Hispanic labor. So, let all the wetbacks in to the USA to help fix and repair this broken country, as they get paid well under minimum wage. It’s the American way after all.

  5. FRAGaLOT says:

ECA said: Then Start your OWN business and do THEIR jobs. Under cut their wages.

Um no there’s a thing called minimum wage, you can’t do it unless the people you hire AREN’T AMERICANS! Which is already happening with Mexican immigrants, a.k.a. new American slaves.

YOU WANT CHANGE THEN VOTE I WILL THIS GUY IS AN IDIOT

  7. yankinwaoz says:

People. Don’t forget the Big Ag wants a porous border. That is how they get dirt cheap labor to grow and pick crops. And our politicians listen to Big Ag.

Until we hold Big Ag up to labor and safety standards, then nothing is going to change.

Until we give up on the idea that food must be dirt cheap, then nothing is going to change.

“Who in their right mind supports the stupid law that AZ has passed?”
    I do.

“I have no idea why “conservatives” want to lock down our borders.”
Simple, it’s the same reason they don’t live in Mexico.

“Mexican illegals are the new slave labor of the 21st century.”
I for one would hate to see them subject to slavery. Let’s make sure they are free to leave any time.

“So, let all the wetbacks in to the USA to help fix and repair this broken country…”
By all means let’s do so. They left theirs in such good repair.

  9. Mike says:

This is a joke right? Please tell me The Onion is behind this?

  10. Floyd says:

#14: I have no problem with states or Feds enforcing the law, but how do you plan to keep people from crossing the border? Much of the land border is just barbed wire with a road patrolled by the Border Patrol now and then.

The rest of the border from El Paso east is the Rio Grande, and there’s not much of a network of roads down there for the Patrol to drive along to try to catch those people.

  11. Wow… an incredible arrogant prick.

AND NO, #23, I never voted for this guy. I was long gone from Newark when he showed up. You can see why I left. What community would keep re-electing this jerk? 37 years?

  12. Dave says:

We worry about a few Russian spies that did nothing. Oh, by the way they were here lawfully. But we don’t worry about the 12 million illegals… What’s wrong with this picture?

  13. Grandpa says:

    #8 – Correct in a sick way.

    - We send jobs overseas-people need help with healthcare-immigration becomes a problem.

    - We have sent our jobs overseas thanks to the Republicans-we need help with healthcare-immigration IS a problem.

pedro likes tee bagging. iit is one of his favorite tings. Doo you guys like tee bagging too?

    Donkey Punch.

  16. Jim says:

He’s a jackass, yes, but the people in the audience were being jackasses too… I suspect he’s just trying to blend in instead of being diplomatic about it.

He probably doesn’t get his name attached to much legislation either, with the attitude, but he probably doesn’t give a crap either way.

However, getting a bunch of moany pricks bitching about putting up walls on the boarder (I’m SO sure they mean Canada too) and pretending it’s not racist, and asking leading questions (oh he’s just CURIOUS, he’s never asked anyone before) just asks for someone to make fun of them.

The solution to shut them up is spend fifty or so billion of their tax money… that they don’t want to give to the government… to make a wall and beef up border security… that will then bankrupt a lot of small businesses in their area that use the cheap labor. Not saying it’s a good thing, or that I agree with it, just a fact.

If they truly want that solution then they should be 100% for increased taxes to pay for everything, draconian laws for those that hire illegals (ie you lose your business and belongings) and military presence along the entire border.

Now I wonder who that would piss off the most? Not the illegals, they’ll just come in a different way or in the trucks they come in now. Nope, it will be the Mexican government, which will then be glad to nationalize all the American businesses that use their labor and quadruple costs for anything sold to the US.

If they’re upset more about the law problems the border towns are having (which is gang related and an outgrowth of Mexico’s inability to solve its own problems) — well, why is no one talking about quadrupling police in EVERY town along the border? Oh, that’s right, they want the feds to do it, not the towns and states, because they don’t want to PAY for it.

  17. Dr Wally says:

No need for a wall. Just say starting the first of next month, you are going to shoot anyone who tries to cross. Then start shooting — men, women, children, doesn’t matter — blow ‘em all away. After a couple of hundred bodies pile up, no more problems. What’s that you say? You can’t do that? If you aren’t willing to do that and see pictures of bloated corpses rotting in the desert sun, then you aren’t serious about stopping illegal immigration using force. You better start looking for a better way. All this loose talk about walls and guards and troops and such nonsense really says you are willing to solve it with a bullet. If you listen to the talk carefully, you will realize these people think of the immigrants as some kind of “sub-humans” that need to be disposed of – pests. Look at yourself in the mirror before you go to church. What would Jesus see in you?

  18. Improbus says:

How about instead of a fence we have a 2000 mile long 1 mile wide mine field. That might discourage travel across the border. No troops necessary.

  19. RobLeather says:

What I find odd is that I’m English. If I wanted to emigrate to America I wouldn’t be allowed. Nope. Not allowed. I could BUY a US company and be “allowed” to stay. Or I could have some extraordinary circumstance; like I’m a famous actor.

But as a normal person, borders closed, no thank you. Take your intelligent, well educated children and bog off.

So perhaps what I need to do is go to Mexico first, get a tan and THEN sneak across the border and pretend to be Mexican and that seems to work fine.

I wonder how easy it is to get Mexican citizenship :-) Hmmmm

  20. Nitroneo says:

In a way he’s right, we don’t need a wall, what we need is a few thousand signs and a few hundred thousand landmines…
