BALTIMORE (CBSDC) — Attorney General Eric Holder might not be sticking around for a second term.

Holder told law school students at the University of Baltimore School of Law that he does not know if he will stay in his job.“That’s something that I’m in the process now of trying to determine,” Holder said. “I have to think about,

Holder says he needs to sit down with his family and President Obama to see if he wants to continue on the job. “[I have to] really ask myself the question about, do I think there are things that I still want to do? Do I have gas left in the tank? It’s been an interesting and tough four years, so I really just don’t know,” Holder told students.

Holder has been under fire from congressional Republicans for what he knew about the botched “Fast and Furious” operation where the U.S. allowed guns to be sold illegally in hopes to track Mexican drug cartels. Holder was found in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over documents regarding the operation. President Obama has invoked executive privilege.

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was reportedly killed with one of the guns used in the ATF operation.

Seeing Holder do the perp walk…Priceless. Up Next, Planet Janet.

Prosecute torture, because torture is ventriloquism

  2. Derek says:

He should appoint Hillary Clinton. Her track record of carelessly letting Americans die is at least as good as Holder’s!

  3. Charliej says:

Bite it, repubs. You lost and will never win again.

  4. scandihoovian says:

Eric Holder = Federalist Asshole. Respect the States or feel their wrath, douche.

    • Phydeau says:

Ya know, you wingnuts lost the right to babble about “States Rights” in 2000 when five right-wing FEDERAL Supreme Court justices stopped the state of Florida from running the presidential election the way they wanted. They used their FEDERAL powers to override Florida’s STATE rights to get the election results they wanted.

      So STFU, mmkay?

  5. Dallas says:

Topic still looks like a left over from last month. When will the crying stop?

  6. JohnK says:

Racists, can’t find any white politicians to rant against?

    • Mextli says:

Don’t be that way. I was just enjoying some Amos ‘n’ Andy tapes. That show was first broadcast from Chicago. “What’s past is prologue”

  7. Yankinwaoz says:

Pleaeeeese fire that man. For Christ sakes, MF Global stole $1.6 BILLION dollars of their customer’s money over a year ago and not one damn person is being held accountable.

  8. Moran says:

You heard it here! The Democrats are gonna run rampant like the pompous statist assholes they are. At least the Republicans would smile when they fucked you from behind. The democrats don’t give a damn about decorum.

  9. moss says:

Nothing like, say, blaming the head of VW for a storefront dealer screwing up a promotion. Yeah, yeah, the guy at the top is responsible – but with 100000+ employees, a screwup here and there ain’t unusual.

Making a hero of a thug like Issa? Absurd.

Republican priorities are as useless to the needs of the whole country as ever. Poor bruised egos among elitist incompetents.

Holder brought in people like Bharara who’s put away Wall Street profiteers, ran Interior Dept cleanup of Big Oil flunkies and corrupt deals leftover from the Bush administration. He’s implemented Obama’s data mining – catching, prosecuting and putting away crooks stealing billion$ from Medicare.

But, oh boy, he didn’t personally supervise a half-dozen fuckups in the SW who violated dept directives with their stupid plot – and refused to kiss the butt of a Congressional clown. Of course he should go. To retain his sanity in the face of ideology better suited to the Tea Party than capable adults.

    • Gwad his own self says:

Holder is responsible for prosecuting more whistleblowers than the previous 300 attorney generals combined. Maybe it was only the previous 200.

He has empowered copyright and patent maximalists to try to turn “intellectual property” into something that can be weaponized against the proverbial garage inventors. This includes medicine.

He has help turn the US into a surveillance state in which private companies profit (quid-pro-quo) by breaking the law at the behest of unaccountable and unnamed US security agencies.

He has acted as if US laws are applicable all over the world, and participated in illegal extraditions of foreign citizens who have broken no laws in their native countries. This couldn’t possibly come back to bite us in the ass, now, could it?

He has moved as much of his activities out of the jurisdiction of the courts as possible. Seizure of domain names and file servers in foreign countries, warrantless wiretapping, TSA and Border Patrol checkpoints inside the US and nowhere near any airport. Refusing to cooperate when he’s caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Refusing to prosecute any one of the hundreds of criminals behind the massive theft of bank assets resulting in the financial meltdown that we’ll be feeling for the next 25 years.

And you guys are worried about some 14 year old slut getting welfare because she got pregnant and needs a government handout of a few hundred bucks a month?

      Gwaddam you are idiots.

      • McCullough says:

Accountability in this country has been dead for a long time. They all know it, both sides. It’s why they do whatever they want without repercussion.

      • Mextli says:

Lets not forget selective enforcement of laws. Regardless of how you feel about the issues the different federal response to Arizona immigration laws and Colorado marijuana laws demonstrates the Justice Department and administration will just do what the hell they want.

  10. CrankyGeeksFan says:

    Posted here first:

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano may be considered for U. S. Attorney General.

    • I'm ugly and my mother dresses me funny says:

Yeah, I saw that. I threw up a little in my mouth.

  11. deowll says:

Obama won. They can’t indite him on the other hand allowing some time to pass before his activities are looked at by hostile lawyers and to become a person of no interest would seem to be a reasonable and prudent thing to do.
