But I didn’t catch the name of the other team. :)

Hahaha baseball in Europe? They do not even have a decent league. I bet any of the launch of starcraft2 hots tournament (king of the beta) will have more people watching it than any baseball game ever in europe.

    • stormtrooper 651 says:

please explain this baseball thing, I understand it to be a simplified form of cricket.

    • RickM says:

The Netherlands is in the semifinal round of the World Baseball Classic. They knocked off Korea and Cuba (twice) to get there. At the last WBC (2009) they beat the Dominicans (a team made up of American MLB All Stars), twice. Italy knocked off Mexico (twice) and Canada. They may not have a decent league, but you have to take the European teams seriously.

    Could it be….. SATAN?

Neither Obama nor Bush are in Rome, so this can’t be the case.

      • NewformatSux says:

Obama has already given his opinion on what the next pope should do. Seems he can do religion better than his church.

  4. Admfubar says:

i thought that is what they are really doing… playing…

i’m really they have to vote in secret? these guys are having a blast like a college kegger, there isnt anyone in charge at the moment to it is party time..

i wonder if they are having a toga party…

  5. DixonAgee says:

Clearly it’s shirts, vs skins …

  6. Sports Nut says:

If we’re talking baseball then maybe the St. Louis Cardinals are playing the California Angels. Seems logical for a game like that to be held in Rome.

Or could it be Football (American style) and the Arizona Cardinals are playing that most unholy of all NFL teams, the Raiders?

Then again, maybe this is Hockey where the reporters got the wrong names (again). Maybe it’s the Washington Capitals or Ottawa Senators versus the New Jersey Devils!

  7. orchidcup says:

I understand they are voting on who will play God until the next act.

  8. NewformatSux says:

Only a matter of time before the usual suspects will start saying they think the new pope should open up the priesthood to women, approve abortion, etc.

  9. msbpodcast says:

    The NJ Devils… :-)

    Oh Perky!

You are quite the comedian! Your Church of Surrealism has a (small) member of one.
