According to my daughter, this is the stuff I’,m made of.

  2. bobbo, are we Men of Science, or Devo says:

Usually…..most things matter to somebody, but not to most.

aka: its all relative……………..to whose ox is being gored.

    • Marc Perkel says:

      New theory of relativity?

      • bobbo, are we Men of Science, or Devo says:

You have it exactly Marc. Nice to see we are on the same wave length…..while still allowing for a particles worth of difference between our good faith held views?

        • ± says:

The difference is that the only point of view which is correct is that which supports the most good for the most people. And so often you fail at this. Good faith… pah!

          [no banal snippet here]

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist and junior culture critic says:

With a reserved quibble, I accept your characterization…. except… on what issue do you think I don’t express the most good for the most people as my goal?

            Just curious.

            Assuming its not pure rhetoric???

            ((I know… I dream without much hope.))

          • ± says:

I might chime in the next time someone else is pointing it out to you.

          • bobbo, expert pilot and space cadet says:

Yes, please do===or when anyone else does it as well.

If we are not for the most good, however defined, then what value are we actually advocating…and why??

            Excellent issue to monitor.

Without a connection in mind, the concept of Tax Cuts for the RICH immediately presents itself. A whole party built on this concept, a whole group of voters supporting this concept. Best for the whole? or a Hole for the Most?

  3. John E Quantum says:

There is also MATTER OF FACT, a type of material present outside of Washington, DC according to scientists. Politicians however can not agree on whether or not it exists. See also climate change, evolution, and economic theory.

  4. AAAyyy says:

    • ± says:

Exactly! And like me and you and a dog named Boo.

If I didn’t type this, certain atoms in the ~ 10^100 years distant future would be in a slightly different place than they are now. Or not.
