Is anyone surprised? From what I understand of it is, yes, she did break the law, but no one has been prosecuted before for this crime so they are going to give her a pass. I think it’s part of the too rich to jail program.

  1. Hmeyers says:

There are laws for you and me, and then there are the laws for the elite.

Too big to prosecute. Nothing new.

A recommendation of indictment would have been a shock.

    • MikeN says:

How do Bernie fans feel about the lies Hillary’s been telling for a year? If the true story had been out all along, she would have been toast right?

  2. Ah_Yea says:

Naw, we don’t live in a lawless banana republic where there’s one set of laws for our betters and another set for the rest of us.

Naw, If we did the same thing we would also go free.

    • Ah_Yea says:

Also, this was best thing that could happen for Trump. If Killary got indited the would be facing a Biden/Warren ticket which would be hard to beat.

Now he got fantastic ammo against Crooked Hillary.

      • NewFormatSux says:

Which is the best ammo, this or the fact that Hillary doesn’t know how to do e-mail with passwords? They tried to set up a separate computer for her, and she couldn’t do it, and insisted it come to her BlackBerry.

    • Ah_Yea says:

Marc, now that Bernie is out,

Are you going to vote for Hillary??? What are you going to do???

  3. NewFormatSux says:

Maybe if more details had come out from an e-mail security expert…

  4. NewFormatSux says:

    > but no one has been prosecuted before for this crime so they are going to give her a pass.

Not true. Perhaps no one has been prosecuted for setting up their own e-mail server, but negligent handling of classified information has been prosecuted.
David Petraeus got off easy, where only a single journalist had seen them. Petraeus’s stuff was also not marked classified, which is not a defense except for Hillary’s defenders in the media.

John Deutsch also got a plea agreement for taking his work home and having his kids playing on the computer.

Hillary fired people for using private e-mail. Don’t remember if any were prosecuted.

Scooter Libby was prosecuted for blowing the cover of an agent.
He was also Marc Rich’s lawyer.

Hillary’s crimes are more serious, as her e-mail was hacked by foreign services. Many more agents were revealed, including more still by the public release of documents in redacted form.

Also, the hacking of her server was likely the gateway for hacking at the State Department and later OPM.

    • NewFormatSux says:

Plus no explanation has been given to how Top Secret e-mails ended up on her server to begin with. They should not have been there even if she were using a .gov account.

  5. Likes2LOL says:

Nope, nothing here folks, just some “extreme carelessness”:

Clinton IT Staffer Pleads Fifth 130 Times, Transcript Shows – ABC News
    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/clinton-staffer-pleads-130-times-transcript-shows/story?id=40058415

Hillary Clinton’s former IT staffer, once responsible for maintaining her private computer server, refused to answer questions from lawyers about her email setup and invoked his Fifth Amendment right 130 times during a deposition this week, according to a transcript of the deposition.

Bryan Pagliano was deposed Wednesday as part of a lawsuit concerning Clinton’s email account brought by the conservative group Judicial Watch. The transcript of that deposition was posted online today….

  6. Desperately Seeking Justice says:

Anybody who’d vote that skank and her winged monkeys into office is either stupid or morally bankrupt.

Pray there are a few patriotic FBI insiders who will rat out the details, even if it costs them their careers.

Maybe Ed Snowden can leak the dirt to destroy the Clinton evil empire.

  7. NewFormatSux says:

So how many liberals in the media and elsewhere repeated Hillary’s talking points the last year? And what are the new talking points?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbkS26PX4rc

    • MikeN says:

Just saw Megyn Kelly. The new talking points are that what Comey said is incorrect and Comey is wrong to make these statements of Hillary wrongdoing, because she can’t defend herself.

  8. Burned says:

Lifelong democrat who can no longer stand the corruption the D party represents now. This is shameful and dangerous. I have to vote for the other guy now, they have given me no choice.

    • Phydeau says:

Wow you are so believable. I can’t believe how believable you are.

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

        Ha, ha. Nice call.

What the FBI “said” having decided to not prosecute is rubber stamp. What else would they say? “She’s guilty as HELL, but has too much power over our budget through Bill and democractic ties and there are some good sounding to the public excuses….so…we decline to prosecute.” IE–its obvious.

I was half asleep but didn’t Coby say that what Clinton did was “reckless and arrogant.” Ha, ha…..ok…reckless and arrogant but no violation of law???? What invisible line is being created there? Note the reliance on no interference with the investigation when she lied and got caught lying at each stage. Note her lack of intent ….when intent is not an element of the violation.

        Yes……….very obvious.

While I agree with Drumpf that the system is rigged…..he’s entirely stoopid to focus on that. Rigged systems don’t care about that. What he needs to do ASAP is focus on just exactly what Coby DID SAY: reckless and arrogant. Throw in lying, parsing, isolated, fantasy driven, obdurant, opaque, self dealing, and war loving.

The self dealing part is the only thing that saves her. She will continue to fraudulently and illegally amassing the Clinton Fortune, but she does that for HERSELF. Drumpf is determined to do it for his entire class. The tax dodging influence buying AlreadytooRich.

        Just look.

  9. Phydeau says:

You could make some pretty good vinegar from all the sour grapes here πŸ˜‰

Whoda thunk, a Republican FBI director not prosecuting a Democrat for a crime no one else has been prosecuted for either.

Brush the dust off your dictionary page that contains the definition for the word “integrity”. Been a long time since that word has applied to a Republican. You might be unfamiliar with it.

  10. Sam says:

    Yeah, right.

Just like the liberal dems own the word “disingenuous”. It’s a big word. Look it up.

    • Phydeau says:

The Republicans falling over themselves kinda-sorta-not endorsing Trump have given new life to that word. πŸ™‚

“not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does.”

And how about the Donald pretending not to know who David Duke was? World class disingenuousity! (is that a word?)

It’s just too easy. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

  11. Phydeau says:

Don’t y’all worry… even though the FBI isn’t charging her, the wingnut masses (who have much better sources than the FBI) are convinced she’s guilty and are flogging her mercilessly.

It’s all they got really… anything to distract people from the disaster that is The Donald.

    • MikeN says:

You don’t think Hillary is a disaster in terms of protecting classified intelligence?
Would you allow someone who behaves like that near classified material?

      • Roger That says:

You Mean like Richard Milhous Nixon? There was a honest person..Damn Democrats!

  12. admfubar says:

the email server setup has all the trappings of a honeypot. I think the FBI had this email server set up as it is to see who would try to break into it. the surrounding bew ha ha is to give the whole situation some realistic look..

  13. MikeN says:

So this is the guy that threatened to resign over Bush’s surveillance. Why would he make the case for the law being broken and then announce no charges, which is not his call to make?

I think he could read the writing on the wall, and with the plane meeting and the offer of attorney general to Lynch(the same thing they did to Janet Reno), he knew there would be no charges.

He probably felt it would be wrong to leak the details, and rather than resign he chose to make the charges public as the best way to stop Hillary. He probably justifies it to himself as keeping himself in place to put Crooked Hillary in check.

    • Ah_Yea says:

Yes, that’s my read also. He didn’t say Hillary didn’t commit a crime, he specifically said he didn’t have enough evidence to convict her of a crime.
With Lynch in the fix for Hillary, Comey would have to have evidence “above and beyond” and he simply didn’t have it.

      • MikeN says:

Where did he say he didn’t have enough evidence?
It’s pretty clear he has it from what he said, he just added an intent factor to the law.

  14. Hmeyers says:

    Strange election year.

I think stranger things are yet to come.

The election will start to get crazy in September and October and then thankfully it will be over and there will be a result.

A Rubio vs. Biden election would have been a better one if you like this country. Maybe. Who knows …

  15. Mr Diesel - Hillary, The Lying Bitch says:

Once again the lying, thieving bitch gets away with something.

Nothing to see here, these aren’t the e-mails you’re looking for.

  16. phillip says:

yea i guess technically General Petraeus took a plea for 2 years probation and $$$ fine :p

  17. Phydeau says:

    whine, whine, whine πŸ™‚

There’s a great FB group: Sweet tears of Teabilly Butthurt. Y’all should join! πŸ˜€

Bernie was the Democrat in the race, Hillary’s the Republican, at least as we knew Republicans before they went off the rails. Trump is the candidate who represents all the racist, sexist, xenophobic right-wing nuts that the Republican party has been courting since they instituted the Southern Strategy. Which is most of the population here. πŸ™‚

I’m not a big fan of Hillary, but at least she’s actually qualified.

Remember when the GOP was all about “character”? Now they’ve nominated a sleazy, cheating, lying, bullshitting, orange douchebag.

    • Mr Diesel - Hillary, The Lying Bitch says:

The GOP is still all about character. Look at the character we have now. (Trump)

      • Phydeau says:

        *rimshot*

Good to see you can still have a sense of humor! πŸ˜€

        • Mr Diesel - Hillary, The Lying Bitch says:

Regardless of politics I’m betting I’d be laughing over a beer with anyone on this blog with the exception of bobbo………..it would probably be a single malt with him.

I hope I never lose my sense of humor.

          • MikeN says:

Good call. His dentist heard him for awhile and raised all his rates just to make him go away.

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

I’m beer all the way. Heineken at home…like to mix a hoppy brew with a Stout when at the brew pub.

    • Fido says:

What has she accomplished that makes her qualified?

    • MikeN says:

So you think someone is qualified if they do not care for the security of the government, whether it is intelligence or embassies?

      • Phydeau says:

        Lordy, Benghazi again. So sad.

The first step a Benghazaholic has to do is admit he has a problem…

        • NewFormatSux says:

Ducking the question. Do you think she is qualified to handle intelligence?

  18. Phydeau says:

Whoopsie… Powell and Rice also had classified email on unclassified servers…

    http://mediamatters.org/blog/2016/03/07/state-dept-concludes-past-secretaries-of-state/209044

For months, conservative media figures have attacked Clinton, baselessly accusing her of wrongdoing for receiving State Department emails on her private email account while secretary of state. On February 4, reports emerged that Colin Powell and aides to Condoleezza Rice also used private email accounts when they served under former President George W. Bush, and some of their emails similarly contained information that was retroactively classified.

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/secretaries-handled-classified-material-private-email-state-dept/story?id=37404084

Not that facts matter to you folks. Benghazi! Benghazi! BENGHAZI!

    • Fido says:

Forget about email and Benghazi for now.

President Obama said in his speech yesterday that she is the most qualified person, man or woman to ever seek the office, (including himself, I suppose) but he never said why.

So Phydeau, just what did she accomplish at the State Department that qualifies her to be President.

      • Ah_Yea says:

Easy! She destroyed Libya, Helped create ISIS, Overthrew the democratically elected President of Egypt, helped to install a radical muslim government (Muslim brotherhood) which then was overthrown by a military dictatorship. Nearly started a war with Russia, millions of refugees from Syria, Empowered Iran, castigated Israel, …

        And I’m just getting started!

    • Sam says:

Everything you’ve said in this thread is irrelevant. Why?

Because YOU have no integrity. You are the pot calling the kettle black.

Now, LOL, please reply back saying the reference to “black” is racist. That would be perfect and expected.

    • NewFormatSux says:

So Powell and Rice set up their own servers for e-mail?
Not to mention the retroactive classification is not what’s at issue with Hillary.

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

I agree. Also note the language: other SoS had confidential info in their emails. Not the same thing at all as sending confidential documents through non-secure email.

Tv said yesterday that (Classified Labeled?) emails cannot even be sent to non gubment email accounts.

The point I haven’t heard said anywhere is that the WHOLE POINT of using gubment servers is then you don’t have to worry about whether or not the document you are dealing with is confidential or not….because it is treated as classified by the system. Not true when private servers are used.

Hillary violated the law consistent with her long history of ego/money driven above the law order of priorities. The FBI would need more than a clear violation of a statute to go after a Pres Candidate. Has to have an “emotional” component to leap that bar……..although…. the drowning of Mary Jo Kepetnich and the rape of that other girl hit that mark…the Kennedy’s are a special case of privilege, much the same as the Clintons.

        Just look.

        • Hmeyers says:

Bobbo, I think the world is leaving you behind.

You aren’t supposed to speak knowledgeably about a subject at hand.

Nor are you supposed to read a broad variety of sources and educate yourself.

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

            Well…..thank you HM.

I collect your compliments as Pedro does his donkey droppings.

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Re reading that…..the cognoscenti appreciate that Pedro collects donkey poo at every opportunity and with pure delight.

Unlike compliments, you can actually build your own house with Pedro.

        • MikeN says:

No classified e-mails cannot exist of the type you are thinking. They have separate computers with no internet for that information(like what JCD used to suggest for all companies). So someone had to send Hillary a copy illegally.

  19. OmegaProject says:

Relax, it is not like a missing 18-1/2 minute portion of an audio tape…

    • MikeN says:

There are some gaps in the e-mails handed over by Hillary. Particularly at the time the Russians were cutting deals on uranium.

  20. Circuitsmith says:

So much vitriol for one transgression; when Trump has 50 that are as bad or worse.

    • Phydeau says:

LOL… you aren’t from around here are you?

The folks around here are pretty much in despair about Trump; they try to ignore him as much as possible and focus on any flaws they can find in Clinton.

    • Fido says:

LOL One transgression. You are not only not from around here, you must not be from this solar system.

But seriously folks, Democrats have really fucked themselves. She is probably the only Democratic candidate a guy like Donald Trump can beat.

So laugh all you want morons. If your party wasn’t so corrupt and had stuck with Bernie, you wouldn’t be in this mess.

    • MikeN says:

Really? Trump has revealed the names of field agents?

  21. bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

I’ll say it one more time: Hillary will continue to lie, cheat, steal, mislead, etc in order to make HERSELF rich.

Trump will do the same, or do it openly, to make HIS CLASS rich (the top .o1 or fewer Billionaires of Consequence).

While both are repugnant, TRUMP will create much more damage if not out and out revolt and/or military confrontation.

    Hillary: known horribles.
Trump: Unknown except for the tax break thing.

Choose your tolerance to ambiguity and class identification: are you part of the 99—or the 1%. vote who you ARE, not who you wish you were.

    Ha, ha.==================>Get Real.

    • Luis says:

Keep Wall Street safe, vote for Hillary!!

      Trump is a chump.

      • Phydeau says:

        I’m a Bernie fan, but Hillary’s much better than Trump… :/

        • Aja says:

Then you must be all kinds of pissed off at the DNC for giving the nomination to Crooked Hillary, right?

Or did you just roll over and play dead?

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Can you read ….. at all?

            Another Pedro rides the bus.

  22. Luis says:

She is the most qualified, man or woman, who has ever run for President. Just look at all of her accomplishments, too long to list here.

    I’m with >HER!

  23. jpfitz says:

Killary claims ignorance of the technology she used. Bill installed the server years ago. Bill wasn’t under investigation, why?

  24. Phydeau says:

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/rep-jason-chaffetzs-business-card-lists-gmail-address/story?id=29368587

    Republicans are impervious to irony…

Chaffetz, who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, announced Tuesday that his panel would join in an investigation of Clinton’s email use.

Jason Chaffetz is Extremely Concerned over Hillary Clinton’s use of non-governmental email servers.

Guess what email address Jason Chaffetz has on his official Congressional business card?

    That’s right, a gmail.com email address.

This is almost as good as all those Republicans condemning Bill Clinton’s dalliances while they were indulging in their own. Newt, Livingston, and eeeuuw Denny Hastert… hopefully he wasn’t still molesting boys while he was in Congress… :/

    • Luis says:

      Good find.

I would certainly never vote for this guy were he running for President. How can anyone be that stupid?

      • Phydeau says:

Half-clever, Luis. Lots of politicians of all stripes have used private email servers… including Dubya when they were firing all those AGs for political purposes back in 2007.

The question is, what kind of idiot does the same thing that they publicly, loudly, and pompously accuse their opponents of doing? Not only stupid, but shows a special kind of clueless.

Ah, but I’m sure Democrats have done it too. Human nature. But R’s seem to have a monopoly on it lately. :/

        • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Nothing wrong with using private servers for non-confidential business.

Using your own server is not the same as using Gmail. Gmail is more secure.

          Let’s not get sloppy.

          • Phydeau says:

But putting Gmail on his official business card, rather than a .gov address?

If you’re going to be consistent, you should require all government email be on .gov, not on private servers *or* Gmail.

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

All comes down to how you define “gubment bidness.”

IOW–constituency services is gubment bidness of a sort but it is not “intra-gubment” bidness. ie: its not confidential or involving the keeping of national security secrets.

I see a clear demarcation. I would support a rule that “all” emails by gubment officials must be done on gubment servers. The porn traffic might crash the servers…..there are tradeoffs to all we do.

    • MikeN says:

So has Jason Chaffetz gotten any Top Secret e-mails, or dealt with other classified info thru his e-mail?

Staffers have been fired in Congress for doing much less than what Hillary did. One was very lucky to keep his job after leaving files overnight in a locked office that was designated a Secure Facility, one where the rest of Congress comes to view classified information.

Hillary merely has them sitting under a bathroom sink in Colorado. Even the part about being protected by the Secret Service is a lie.

So do you think Hillary is qualified to protect national secrets?

  25. Dwight E Howell says:

Their’s a guy in prison whose lawyer is trying to get him out based on Comey’s BS statement about nobody else having been charged.

    • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

      Ha, ha……………good to know.

Thats about as much salt as I’ve ever seen poured into a wound?

  26. Glenn E. says:

No one will probably read this. So no sense beating around the bush, in great detail.

Don’t you all think that Obama wouldn’t pardon Hillary, before her feet ever touch the floor of a federal prison’s main entrance. That’s what Presidential pardons are for. Keeping their criminal buds, out of the slammer.

So it doesn’t matter if Hillary gets charged or not. She’s immune, all the way to the White House.
