That’s a huge hawk or eagle or falcon or whatever it is.

Looks like a Golden Eagle, a big one though. I think he planned on eating right there as the deer is too big to carry away.

    Quick, get the kids inside.

  3. ECA says:

Its a smallish deer.. It dont even have antlers.

  4. MacBandit says:

Looks like a Golden Eagle. Their wingspan can be nearly 8 feet and weigh as much as 20lbs. The deer is about the smallest I’ve ever seen though probably a yearling.

  5. Mike says:

‘F’ me sideways with a crooked broomstick!!
I don’t care how small the deer is, thats just damn cool!!

  6. BertDawg says:

Lived in England for a few years, and most of the deer I saw over there were that size. About the size of a Great Dane.

And #5, you’re right, at least until that sucker’s coming after YOU! In that case, you might actually opt for the crooked broomstick.

  7. Nick says:

I clear trees and we chased out some deer out from some brush. The little fawns stayed behind. About 5 golden eagles came along and grabbed a few of the fawns and took flight.Damn cool though!

  8. Tev says:

Looks like a coues deer, a big buck will only weigh about 100 lbs. Cool.

  9. Joe says:

Has anyone tried to find out where this clip came from ?

  10. Rich says:

The eagle in question is a Berkut golden eagle from Mongolia. They are often used to hunt deer. Some one just looked this up it on another blog and appears to me it is a muntjac deer and it is from China which the language sound Asian to me this deer would be around 43 cm which would be about the size you’ve seen. Because we see it doesn’t mean it is a whitetail from USA. Eagle would have trouble with larher deer

It drives me nuts not knowing where this is!! So I went researching..

On my window media player the video was labelled “Nepojmenovaný” which an online dictionary said was Slovak (and means “nameless” = anonymous perhaps) – someone on another site about this video said he/she knew Czech and recognised what was said at the end as a Slavic language – they even provided a suggested translation of the words at the end “That’s good”

Sure doesn’t look like the Slovak republic to me – I thought it as all beautiful mountains. Maybe they don’t show the boring bits to tourists.

Could anyone actually hold a golden eagle on their wrist? And it seems to have a lot of white on it for a golden eagle – but I am no bird expert.

It would be cool to have a eagle to do that. It would save on ammo.lol..
