Front man for Skoolabug Take-over?

Internet Archive: Details: Paul Alien — Yes, the TRUE AMAZING story never told! Uh, will someone download this thing and tell me if it is worth the effort?

Paul Alien is the film that proves Seattle billionaire Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft and the creator of Seattle’s Science Fiction Museum, is collaborating with space aliens hell-bent on seizing control of earth. Why did these alien overlords select Paul Allen to be their front man? In an era where the disparity between rich and poor is ever-widening, why are private corporate interests allowed to secretly hire space aliens and get tax breaks to take over the world? Paul Alien answers these questions and more while exposing the audience to Seattle’s sordid economic underbelly of hobo street performers, anarchist junkies and an anti-alien resistance cell. Paul Alien contains shocking surveillance footage of Mr. Allen interacting with strange looking two-foot-tall alien creatures, known as ‘Skoolabugs’ and from the planet Zorkon.

  3. AB CD says:

Man, what bad acting. I am 15 minutes into this and I can’t take any more. Maybe I will pick it up again tomorrow if I feel like wasting another hour of my life.

I lived in Seattle for a couple of years. I think the rain up there must water log their brains or something.

So, John, how about an official review? Three thumbs up? Er, three fingers, maybe?

  10. F.K. says:

The movie’s so fake you see right through the acting, and at one point (only 9:26 or so into it) you can see the piano wire they use to move the little alien guys.

Satire, parody, or just flat-out trash?

    You decide.

  11. PcMonster says:

    No John,
The movie is not worth the download time. It has to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen, and I’ve seen some very stupid things. Especially now!

  12. Paul Stewart says:

This is definitely an adult(cause of language) midnight movie. It is a twisted documentary/mockumentary or which in the words of one of the characters, a “Cockumentary.” It is ribald and I suppose a bit grotesque but in a childish fashion. The film is shot with the Seattle backdrop as well as gags out of a circus fun house or haunted house done alien style except they are squeezed in somewhere on the streets of Seattle presumably.

I would say of the humor and satire styles it is a bit like Insomniac Dave Attell meets John Waters & Ed Wood..

Its amusing enough. maybe a little long. Most of the film is shot hand held, and the editing is good, sharp sequencing however some of the scenes pushed them self on too long where you kinda loose the laugh. You know the laugh that died 2 seconds ago and we are still dwelling on it. The fact that only happened a couple of times makes it survivable. As I said the sequencing and cut ins keep this piece moving.

I think it was worth the view John. I did not come away thinking what a waste of time, just I wished it was midnight instead of 10am.

  13. James Hill says:

Does this explain the Yatch obsession?

  14. Paul, maybe you shoudl be our movie reviewer!

  15. Paul Stewart says:

    Wow! Thanks John!
