Zimbabwe to ban international human rights groups.
The move comes amid concerns of political violence in the runup to the elections and accusations from one of Mugabe’s most outspoken critics, Archbishop Pius Ncube of Bulawayo, that the ruling party will use food to buy votes.
More than five million people in Zimbabwe will need food aid this year, according to UN aid agencies.
In the past, Mugabe has accused some NGOs here of being “trojan horses” that received money from abroad “to be used against us.”

One of the benefits of left-brain dominance is the ability to isolate an object from the system that created and then proceed to gleefully dissect this object down to is subcomponents. And then look at the subcomponents until an encyclopedia of vacuousness is compiled.
Yes, Mugabe probably sucks, but he is the child of Rhodes and Rhodes is the child of Rome and Rome is the child of Greece. And Greece is the cultural foundation on which our “education” is founded. Because of this “educational” context I am the one sounding stupid right now. And flippantly calling yet another African a madman sounds smart.
Food Aid needed again? Send Willie Nelson over there. Willie can get a Farm Aid benefit concert going on, because our farmers got the whole system worked out here. Willie keeps playing and the farmers got the best deal in the world here. We have programs that will pay you to stop growing crops on your farm, programs for insurance if your crops don’t grow and we have people buying futures in Chicago for crops we have not even grown yet. If you lose your farm here, chances are Willie Nelson can’t do you much good. Maybe these farming folks over in Africa need Farm Aid. Maybe Willie can get together with the UN and do a world tour.
How ironic that the white Olympic swimmer Coventry win’s Zimbabwe’s first 2 gold medals, while Mugabe denounces all whites as racists and colonists and takes their farms so inexperienced blacks can run them into the ground… Hence the need for food aid.
Apparently, Coventry wasn’t even born there, but is swimming for the adopted country she moved to as a teenager. Meanwhile, she’s attending Auburn in the fall, getting out of Dodge like the goverment wants her and all the people who love their country but have the wrong skin color to do.
If starving your people is an African value, something to ignore while apologists look the other way, perhaps Willy Nelson should just give up.
