USAFIS.ORG is a SCAM !!! Dont ever pay them and if you did it by credit card,cancell it immediatley because they get your information and like me they will steal money repeatedly untill you notice it or the credit card is cancelled.They never give you their phone number and they are very rude on the phone. I would like to have them trying to talk to me like that in person…
ANYWAY never give your personal info or credit card over phone to anyone and green card lottery is FREE.
Thanks heaps guys! U reassured my gutt instinct! I just got the badgering call from USAFIS! I was in the shower and they wouldnt get off the phone or let me have a say or even speak as the persons on the phone went on and on and then wanted my cc details. I was hesitating to do that. THey said they will call in an hour..sheesh!
i want to know if there are other countries that have similar lottery program to emigrate to that country
Hi guys. I made an application through the USAFIS program. I paid US$99. I didnt know that applications to the lottery program are absolutely free. They called me up confirmimg my application. But they called me up yesterday saying I can go into their VIP program costing US$249 whereby my application would be ran for 7-8 years until I have won. They said I have a 1/50 chance of winning and would be in their top pirority list. Now I ask u people if I dont join or have just paid $99 wont my application matter. Why is there even a pirority list. The annoying fact is that I cant check if my application has been lodged or not and just have to rely on USAFIS. Also if there is a double application we are disqualified.
One advise I would like to give is never share your credit card details with another person. You either do a transaction over a secure line or give payments by cash.

I applied for the green card lottery also and was informed that i was in a top priority list and that i will have to disburse $149 to increase my chances and get some free materials from usafis. Wanted to know, whether they are not trying to fool people.

“The “Green Card” Lottery is the colloquial name for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program (DV 2009). The program makes available 50,000 immigrant visas annually to persons from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.
Applicants for DV 2009 must apply online before noon EST December 2, 2007. Selection is done by a computer-generated lottery drawing. The link is http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/.
The visas are distributed among six geographic regions. Natives of the following countries are not eligible to participate in DV 2009 because there were more than 50,000 immigrants to the United States from each of these countries over the past 5 years: Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam. Natives of other countries are eligible.
The requirements for DV 2009 are simple. An applicant must be a native of a country that is eligible for DV 2009 and must have the required education/work experience credentials. It is a great opportunity for individuals to “win” a green card. There are no fees to submit the application.
We strongly encourage eligible clients to apply for DV 2009 before the December 2 deadline to avoid any computer glitches or delays.”

Ok. Listen up. All complaining about Usafis. Usafis aint fraud company. No one says u have 75% of winning. Ppl say 75% of world population can not participate. OPEN UR EARS when u talk to someone.Seconf. Married couples do have chance 1 out of 50 ppl. Singles-1 out of 100. Marrieds gets double appl which doubles chances of winning. To check if ur application submitted,call Customer Service. 24/7/!! 1-212-7104290. And all u ppl..Who complain..Stop!! Start reading the website! U got all info there. Its not thier problem u cant handle simple application management..Jesus..
In addition. All ppl who says they call me again and ask for additional payment for VIP or whatever. All applications got otions to be upgraded!! Its means. If u got 2 years application and u married u have 4 opportunities to win the GC. If u have VIP u have 20 opportunities and 10 years of participation! Very VERY freaking simple. And it cost more money.! So all u can do..If u dont want to..Say NO! I dont want to pay more. Thats it. Stop crying someone steal from u. Just listen what ppl say to u.

Hi…i’ve registered underb USAFIS too….and so far i have not been harrassed as some claiming here…..and they answer promptly to any doubts that i ask. Its so contradicting to hear such terrible comments……and in the USAFIS website itself they have clarified the difference between the govt DV lottery and USAFIS….if u don’t read it carefully its ur own problem.

Hello! I also say, that the company is for steeling money! I also applied, and paid 216$ for them. They said I have a chance to win 1:10, because my country was assigned this year to the lottery. The man on the phone was so pushy, didn’t want to hang up, and hurried me to give my details. After the phonecall I made some research and it turned out that he lied to me about my chances because my country was available on the lottery all the time, and that the application is for free. I tried to contact them for 2 days saying that I want my money back, then I went to my credit card company complaining about them, they will now investigate. A week later another woman called me from Usafis about my complaint saying that they have a non refund policy, and that I can’t have my money back. I told her to calculate how much their service costed me SO FAR (about one week long) and give my money back, I want to cancel the 5 year application. She said it is not possible… I wonder why? She also said to me that I will get a “Natively” language package in Englich, and that has also shipping costs etc. I said hat I don’t want the package, I will send it back unpacked. She said that isn’t possible again… At the end I managed to get an additional 20% discount, she said this money will be transferred to my account but it still didn’t arrive. I also got to change the English package to a Spanish one. I hope at least that will arrive, if I won’t get my money back.

Plesae do not sign up for USAFIS services even their language pack is a scam. The program is free, you can do it your self. We all know that much English. Right?!!

the company is a scam.i once tried to reg wt them bt didn’t pay bcoz i suspected something as they followed me up by offering subsidised rates of$35 and this made me realize that they were out js 4 ma money.

I’ve enough experience of USAFIS to know they’d post any positive review, above! Give me a break… It’s not a case of people not reading the instructions or not saying don’t contact me. People do say that, but any fraudster will keep calling! Do you honestly think Nigerian scammers will stop asking for your bank details if you email them back and say, “Please stop writing to me”? If it seems too good to be true, it is. USAFIS is FRAUDULENT. If it’s not, let’s see a list of directors posted. Oh, but they’ll be bogus, too. When asked for a copy of an official US Government receipt they sent some phoney Word document that anyone could have made by cut ‘n’ paste from a PDF of a real document. They never stop calling, never stop emailing, even when you write back and say I got a green card already! Or if you just say you use a real attorney they still have people who barely speak English call you. Maybe they have a call center in India now! When, oh when, will the FBI or some official agency shut them down? Seriously, their reputation precedes them, yet they’re so brazenly hiding behind some borders somewhere, getting away with calling from third countries and all that. The only way they can continue to make money is to lure people who don’t know better, like those who can least afford it. Do yourself a favor, get a real attorney to file your paperwork for anything from $200 to $500. Or just do it yourself for free, online! And please, someone in the US investigative services, shut these people down. Or at least legislate so they can’t disguise their website to look official!
