Why is a manhole cover a circle, as opposed to a square or other shape?
Ans.: A circle shape will prevent it from slipping through the hole.
The Victor Vasarely manhole in NYC is really cool.
This is even better than the painted utility box thing.
However, have you been in countries so poor that they steal the manhole covers. Everyday driving around (or even walking) is a terrifying experience.
