When you pass through many European airlports you run into the quite serious anti-smoking campaigns with warning labels all over the place. These shot were taken last week in the Copenhagen airport at the cigarette stand. The Danes, as far as I’m concerned are the worst smokers in Europe. Either that or they are not into ventillation. I love Denmark. But everyone is a smoker. It’s a shame since Denmark is a great place and a lot of fun. It’s fun until you want to go out in the evening. The bars and many retaurants are so clogged with stale smoke that it ruins the experience. So you have to eat and drink during off hours unless you want to get a cheap nicotine buzz. Actually it’s not that cheap since you have to have your clothes dry-cleaned afterwards.

Smoking near children is child abuse.
Smokers who do so are child abusers.

  2. Bill Hannegan says:

“The bars and many restaurants are clogged with smoke” because people enjoy tobacco when they go out. It may be an irritatant and nuisance, but does it do serious harm? The real science says no.

John, take it easy on smokers. The big 1998 secondhand smoke study by the World Health Organization found that children exposed to secondhand smoke had a 22 percent less chance of developing lung cancer later in life.
