SF Electric Tour Company – All the Details about the 1st Segway Sightseeing Tour of San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf and Waterfront— Here’s an interesting idea. Put people on a Segway and really go sightseeing, in high gear. Then again can you imagine being on a Segway and finding yourself on the top of the Fillmore hill headed down? I can barely stop a car with four disc brakes. The trip includes training on how to operate a Segway.

I predict a lawsuit filed within the first year. Heck, within the first 6 months.
I was in Paris last September & saw a group of tourists on Segways with a tourguide.
I wonder if these people are aware that the city of San Francisco has outlawed the use of Segways within the city limits.
They’re still trying to show that these things are useful– amazing. You need one so you can go on tours. Huh?
Hi All – I’m the owner of SF Electric Tours.. We are aware of the Segway laws in SF.. No segways on sidewalks…. not a comple ban.. We cover the same miles as some of the gas powered sightseeing tours with no noise and a lot less emmisions..All are welcome to try our tours. It is a fun way to see the city waterfront..
Thanks
We took the tour – it was great! 20mins good training, nice staff, Segways easy to use with the training, tour itself interesting and fun. Highly recommended.
