Aircraft manufacturer Airbus was set to win a Chinese order for about 100 A320 passenger jets, according to sources close to the negotiations, following a deal that could see Airbus building an assembly plant in China.

    I guess Boeing is doing very well these days, thanks to foreign carriers ordering a lot of planes. Boeing’s biggest worry seems to be that business is too good:

    How come you guys did’nt post the fact that three weeks ago Boeing won a 70 plane order from China worth more than this one.

    In truth China shops both sides of the Atlantic to keep both groups “Happy” and to keep things even.

    Previous order to either brand — haven’t included the option of building a factory in China. I realize folks at Boeing already know about their plants in Taiwan.
