BERLIN (Reuters):

A 44-year-old German businessman whose digital camera was stolen at a restaurant was relieved when he managed to buy exactly the same model on the eBay Internet auction site to match his accessories. But he became suspicious when it emerged the seller came from his home town. It proved to be the same camera.

I’d call him lucky, but for the fact he had to pay for his camera twice.

    Maybe so!… maybe no!…
Probably get his money back at the trial (assuming there IS one)

  2. Tallwookie says:

… minus the sd card, no doubt.

  3. Pat says:

I hope the thief got what he deserved. A picture taken by the local police.

  4. frank kramer says:

the smaller the gadget is, the easier it is to steal.
I discovered this the hard way, when I lost my memorystick; stolen by thieves.

  5. Richard Mahler says:

I always wonder how often ebay is used for fencing stolen goods; quite a lot I suspect. A good policy for the sticky-fingered among us would be to NEVER complete a sale to someone in YOUR hometown – better to get thrown off ebay than rack up a petty theft record and put an ignominious end to your budding career. Never underestimate the stupidity of those who steal.
