OK, so maybe this was a story turned down by the E! network, but they shoulda, coulda done it!

Did you ever wonder how the cursor on your computer works? Now, through the high-tech miracle of electroendoscopicdereblurtification photography, we can now show you exactly how it works. Just point your cursor and click HERE.

Found by a very bored Gary Marks.

  1. Rob says:

Wow! I always thought the cursor was just a stream of sharp arrows shooting through the Intertubes and sticking to the inside of the screen, and then dissolving.

    Guess I was wrong!

  2. Gary Marks says:

Now that we’ve seen the underpinnings of the mouse cursor, we all have a credible alibi in case the cursor should develop a mind of its own, and somehow click on a porn link while the boss is watching.

  3. Mr. Fusion says:

    True story.
My wife’s cursor will occasionally just shoot across the screen. Even after reloading the drivers and then changing the mouse, it still happens. I just showed her this and explained that the bathroom is located in the top right hand corner of her monitor. I wonder, should I have waited to tell her after she has finished making dinner?

    Good find Gary

  4. TJGeezer says:

I wish someone would translate what all those little subquantum workers are saying.

  5. Gary Marks says:

Mr. Fusion, perhaps those bathroom breaks (lol) taken by the tiny men who carry your wife’s mouse cursor, causing its annoying behavior, will soon enough become less frequent. Just as the menstrual cycles of women living together tend to synchronize over time, those tiny men may find their own calls of nature synchronizing as well, making trips to the corner of the screen less frequent, though longer in duration.

If not truly helpful advice, at least I’ve given you reason enough to put off troubleshooting this issue until a later day 😉

  6. tallwookie says:

#4 I had a laptop like that once (dell something) – the cursor would just shoot over to one of the corners of the screen, some sort of fuct hardware issue

  7. Mr. Fusion says:

#7, well, now you know about the bathroom break.
