When the eighth car in a row doesn’t make the corner, the crowd starts mocking the drivers.

I would really question the safety of standing by the roadside and watching this event.
#1 – They’re on the INSIDE of the turn and therefore perfectly safe – if the cars couldn’t manage to track the curve there’s no way they could corner even sharper and endanger the observers.
Quite few of those guys might have made it – IF THEY HADN’T HAD THEIR WHEELS LOCKED UP! Oh well – makes for an amusing vid.
Looks to me like a damn boring race with that many cars off the track!
Those are the shittiest rally cars I have ever seen. Like back woods cars with coffee can mufflers. Get some better tarmac tires you Euro rednecks!
The ohyoyoyoyoyo guy was getting annoying.
#2 – “They’re on the INSIDE of the turn and therefore perfectly safe”
Like I always tell people who are watching me play golf – stand in the fairway, as there’s no way my ball’s going to end up going that way…
Finnish rally at its best. 😀
Cool, a Finnish clip! Hyvä Suomi!
Jesus God all shit, did ANY of these clownz bother driving the route before the rally?
‘In the weeds’ indeed! ¿Como se dice “¡Caramba!” en Finnish?
This looks like it was quite a few years ago – like 20 years or so – by the looks of the cars – European models, firmly mid 80’s vintage.
Being on the inside of the curve can be dangerous too, if the car over steers too much it might just go to the inside. Happens to me every day – on the PS2, of course 🙂
I’d even venture saying late 70’s…
Did you notice how most managed to avoid the trees?
Ayayayayayayayayayyyyy!!!!
#9, Lauren, I apologize in advance but it’s the weekend and I finally got some scope time:
¿Como se dice “¡Ghoti!” en Español?
and Pescado just won’t cut it.
¡Ghoti en español es pescado!
I think the crowd grew during that clip. Maybe people caught on.
#14 “I think the crowd grew during that clip. Maybe people caught on.”
No, it was all the wrecked drivers accumulating on the sidelines.
#15 -LMAO

Since I’m a Ghoti and ghotis have fins, that would make me Finnish. Since I’m Finnish, I’m neutral, so you guys’ll just hafta duke it out… 🙂
Lauren – Which car were you driving?
Check the results for that race.
My ride is – as always – the one that doesn’t say ‘DNF’.
41 years, 37 cars, 1.2M miles and I haven’t put one in the weeds yet… 🙂
Hey, hop – think the ol’ LS600hL ‘d be a hoot to rally? I might be crazy enough to try it… A helmet, five-point belts & a fire extinguisher and we’re, as we say in Tex-ass, ‘Good to go.’
Well, that’s quite amusing. I assume this lot weren’t exactly professional racers.
