A Thai air force pilot has been suspended after allegedly landing his helicopter in the jungle to collect wild mushrooms for his mother.

Villagers said a helicopter had circled a jungle clearing on Wednesday before landing, and when some of them went to investigate, they found the pilot had gone.

When he eventually returned, he said he had been collecting mushrooms for his mother.

I’ll bet Mom just loved those ‘shrooms!
