Marche Taylor’s prom night experience wasn’t what you would call the norm.
That’s because instead of a night of dancing and hanging out with friends, the Madison High School senior ended in a confrontation with school officials and her being escorted out in handcuffs. All because school officials said her dress was inappropriate for the school prom.

The writer of the article has terrible grammar, it looks like it was written for their high school newspaper.
Regardless, she was violating school dress code policy, which transcends to school events. I don’t feel sorry for her one bit and I’d be willing to bet that she was freaking out and acting hostile enough to warrant the visit from the local PD.

I’m sure the prom was all about her. She obviously has little regard for others by at least dressing appropriately for the occasion. If the skank insists on dressing like a ho then you get what you get.
I am sooooooover these constant claims everywhere of our country “becoming a police state” crap. The evolution AWAY from a police state has been going on since the Witch hunts of Salem. Sometimes we have them again as people are human beings, and the need to police, and on both sides there are egos and power trips, that does not mean the entire country is becoming a police state. There is policing everywhere because we are in an industrialized world with big cities and not just on a farm anymore. Even on the farms there still was policing, that doesn’t make it a police state either. All this police state crap is being flung around for attention by drama queens. We are a DRAMA state.

Anyway, if she had her puppies covered then whats the problem? I’d say at least 50% of prom dresses technically violate school dress codes. (spaghetti strap, strapless, bra-less, etc…)

I have to back the school on this one. She is still technically a high school student and the dress code applies to all events.

In all fairness, she didn’t get arrested for wearing the dress. She got arrested for getting shitty with school officials aka disorderly conduct.
Nobody ever got arrested at my high school. Getting in a fight, breaking the dress code, making a fuss with the officials, you got a suspension maybe. Things are definitely taking a downward trend toward a more police oriented society and anyone who says otherwise is willfully ignorant and part of the problem.
She was led away in handcuffs for being disorderly. Even when she offered to cover herself more, she was refused entrance. I think I too would have been upset being denied admission to a once in a lifetime event.
What a lot of the trolls forget, is that she was dressed appropriately in her (and many others) mind. So prudes might object. Fuck the small minded assholes.

This also comes down to an outright disrespect of authority by todays youth. Students think nothing of telling their teachers to fuck off. This carries on to later life with these spoiled fucks thinking they can do anything they want and then when they go to far and get arrested, they cry police state. Growing up in Montreal we used to go to clubs where women weren’t wearing much more than a bra. We enjoyed ourselves, respected the women, and sometimes, even got laid.
This only reinforces the notion that the USA is repealing many of the advances its citizens made over many long years of struggle.

Real police states prefer to make arrests based on offenses of “morals”.
States who prefer to use “moral” policy to make arrests, rather than more objective criteria, have much more freedom to make arrests as they please.
Laws based on “discretion” as defined by authority figures, are genuine threats to democracy.
Say now, the US DOJ has promised to ramp up enforcement of “obscenity” laws.
