That pretty much nails it.
I gotta admit it, that looks like it wouldn’t be too bad, camping all day, no job to worry about…
This comic reminds me of this piece of “satire” from the Onion: “National Museum Of The Middle Class Opens In Schaumburg, IL”
And, of course, this is already happening. Ask a Grayhead.
My father-in-law is retired and spends about half the year on the road in his 5th-wheeler traveling NA. The first thing he reflects upon nowadays is the dramatic increase in numbers of families living in high dollar SUV’s – staying overnight for free in WalMart parking lots, living in state park campgrounds.
The new homeless. They ain’t traveling except for job-hunting.
@Angus
I agree … civilization is WAY to much work.
48 Trillion? Is that all? I honestly thought it was more 😉
Um – why are the kids naked?
Yep, nails it.
Don’t forget: It seems that Bush is really keen on to attacking Iran before he leaves.
Leaving us the ultimate mess.
I’ll remember the 8 years of the Bush-Cheney Administration as the worst in american history.
Whats next is right
I guess you just keep rolling down the road
Thats if you can afford gas for the van and the Coleman stove
I’ll remember Bush/Cheney as the marking point when Congress became completely dysfunctional. Our government only works when it has distributed powers each acting as a check and balance against the others with an active press against them all.
The two party system has done away with Congress checking the President, and the press has done away with skepticism in favor of access and to avoid charges of anti-patriotism. The Court gets stacked with folks selected for political bias when it can be devined.
So, with no checks and balanced, the “system” is generally corrupted by money with corporate interests prevailing. We have welfare for the rich and poor with the middle class getting hosed while Lou Dobbs is ridiculed for caring about it.
And this turn in political activism becomes a death spiral. We have already passed a few mountain tops (dollar collapse, jobs outsourced, balance of trade, deficit spending)==the floor of the valley is coming up.

because that’s the way NAMBLA liberals like them!
LAME cartoon
>>because that’s the way NAMBLA
>>liberals like them!
Uh….there are no liberals in NAMBLA. They’re all log-cabin Republicans. Proven fact.
republicans always say that they hate queers and are for small government and lower taxes, but their leaders always turn up gay and whenever they are in control, deficits grow into numbers that defy human imagination.
they are a party in need of therapy, serious psychotherapy.
thanks god democrats are going to win this election so we can get back to a balanced budget like we had last time a democrat was running the ship.
PARTY VAN…
Fill it up and DRIVE until it stops…
Take your BB gun..
Obama won’t let this happen. He said in Oregon,’You can’t keep driving SUV’, eating as much as you want, putting your house at 72…
Mmm.
Care for some gopher?
Listen up all you so called conservatives (lets use the correct name – Republicans).
You had your chance – big time. You had it all your way – complete control for 7 years.
You couldn’t handle it. Your way doesn’t work – and you proved it.
I have no pity for the middle and low income fools who think the Republicans give a damn about them. They just buy in to the baloney because they are wannabe big shots.
Everybody wanted to have a beer with Bush – now McCain. What a sad bunch of dupes!
#19–pagon==its not pity that should be felt, but rather “disgust.” Enough of these delusional fools exist to get the repugpukes into office. They should be fined until they understand the unavoidable consequences of their actions. The 5% who actually benefit should be put in jail.
