I never like to generalize about large swaths of people but, I have to say, the youth of Japan strike me as so hollow, vacuous, soul-less.
I’m not saying anything that the Japanese haven’t been saying for about thirty years, but the lyrics of this song reminded me of that.

As much of the lyrics as I could read, seems like the group was calling for conformity while recognizing there were many different groups one could belong too? Then they sing and dance in unison.

danijel, about as many natural blonds as red heads I would think. That is just about none.
Technically, red hair does occasionally occur in Japanese people, but only VERY rarely. Like 1 in 100,000,000. Maybe less.

Like almost all their songs, this was written by a famous Japanese pop-rock musician called Tsunku, and therefore doesn’t necessarily reflect how “shallow” the girls are. He (and they) are capable of doing songs of more depth than this, but this particular song is intended as a light-hearted way of introducing the individual girls’ personality quirks to fans. They sometimes perform updated versions in concert when new girls join (and others leave). So far they’ve made 3 versions.
