#1, I don’t think SouthWest even cares. For games like that, a type of insurance is bought, so that every time they do a game like that, SouthWest pays a fixed amount, regardless of who wins or loses. It’s the insurance company that’s out.
And with my hardy disrespect of insurance companies, I say “Gig ’em!”
Commercial airlines are dead to me.. And basketball is is almost as bad a baseball..
Even if my kids did this.. I wouldn’t deem it necessary to put it on youtube..
Everyone in that stadium need to get a life.. And by that i mean they need to read this blog daily 😉

In a related story, Southwest Airlines has announced that for the indefinite future it will be restricting all its flights to one airport. Passengers may board the aircraft at Gate 1, it will taxi to Gate 10 where passengers may dis-embark. Coffee and snacks will be available.
the first one using just the square was amazing. but the 2nd guy topping that with a swish? my god.. sign those guys up for the 3-point contest next year. not saying i’d watch the competition because they’re not as good as they used to be when bird was there, b ut then again the slam dunk contest hasn’t been good since the mid 90’s.

I tottally agree with you. I share the same love you have for inssurance companies. I would go on but im sure very sure that we share the same feelings.

Highly unlikely. The prizes were not that high value. This would be more like a marketing gimmick and although a tax write off, highly affordable.
Southwest is going to surpass American airlines this year as the biggest airline for most domestic passengers carried. I wouldn’t call them a small airline. http://www.azcentral.com/business/consumer/articles/0816biz-southwest16-ON.html
