Apparently Saudi Arabia is seen as a better target market than the USA by Microsoft. Sony intends to roll out PS3 DVR for Europe but not the USA. I sound off and these topics and more.

Nobody here wants that crap anyway. I can’t decide which I despise more, Sony or Microsoft.

wow no new products for the market most likely to abuse them.

America is its own market it seems. What the rest of the world gets America does not many times.

As an expat I have thought for a long time that generally US Home electronic gear is a one way street – for USA only. While the rest of the world anything you buy can be used anywhere including America.

    For example:

US TV: Buy a run of the mill TV in America – NTSC 120vac 60hz Sorry cant take it with you to most parts of the world

Other country’s TV: Buy a run of the mill TV from other countries – Multi System NTSC – PAL 120/240vac 50/60hz Go on take it with you anywhere!

    Cheers

Well in a well regulated market you get less choices and we have regulated our self into less choices. I also think that because that spawns so much litigation we only get items that are clearly in line with regulation so we see less inovation and new products.
