I’ve filled trauma bags with pieces. Maybe it’s just age, but I find nothing amusing about this.
Damn, they actually put that under the road. Luckily, instead of shrapneling, the asphalt the covered it with appeared to dampen the explosion.
As someone who doesn’t understand the lingo… what does IED stand for?
Thankfully, no one was injured in this scenario.
Improvised Explosive Device
It looks like the device was a little too deep to be really effective. They probably had it stuffed into a drainage culvert. If that device had been on the roadside instead of under the road, we would not be able to view that video.
Our troops have to deal with that stuff every day over there. My hats off to everyone serving our country.
Of course, that’s why I was in the Airforce.
