• Universal music hopes to compete with iTunes.
• No Wii price drop for the holidays. Meanwhile Smash Brothers going to miss Christmas.
• Ballmer still making weird public commentary. This one is a beaut.
• BEA to be bought by Oracle, but BEA is playing hard to get.
• FCC delaying 700 Mhz auction.
• Red Hat and Novell being sued for patent infringement. This could be a threat to Open Source although I think IBM will come to the rescue.

  1. Dwight E. Howell says:

I’m sure the attack is serious is in a way but it is more Microsoft fud trying to scare people into using their products or at least not open source products.

People who do crap like this are morally bankrupt. I don’t even think it is good for business. To many people abominate Microsoft as it is and Microsoft keeps throwing fuel on the fire and doesn’t have the wisdom to know it. Millions of people now actively loath them and almost nobody actually likes them. That isn’t the best business modal I ever heard off.

  2. SCARED!!! says:

Your Tequila ad made me want to drink, and I’m a recovering alcoholic… so, thanks, and try not to shoot up and heroine this weekend.

    Report starts, replies:
It rains in California, YAY… it’s wet, and takes 1:20 to even get to the actual audio of your report… Report actually starts:

iTune competitor: Universal will compete, whoopee, they’ve been competing with P2P (that’s FREE tunes!) for years. They have GREAT shares on YouTube!

No WII price cut for holidays? Explanation: it didn’t just come out recently, it came out LAST YEAR (2006)!!! — except, you couldn’t get one LAST YEAR without TENTS and BLANKETS, unless your were really LUCKY. Meanwhile, PS3 and XB360 are sucking wind. Both are overpriced, undervalued, or simply unappreciated. The WII IS FUN!!!

Astronauts come back from space station – great. Take pictures that blow away HUBBLE, or go out and SETTLE ON THE MOON – orbiting the planet has been done. For decades.

Ballmer talks about rivals being “pretenders”?? — he’s an idiot. Ballmer was an idiot years ago, is an idiot now, and has been consistently full of . .. . . .. . . . ……………… PS and BTW: there’s TRAINING TIME INVOLVED for any end-users WILLING to TRY their software…

BEA? 6.7 Billion from Oracle? Thats HIGH. HIGH. They’re HIGH and you’re HIGH if you think BEA is worth that.

    Microsoft… just a lot out of touch… anyway…

FCC delays 700 Mhz auction – why? Who knows, but if it involved a CAPITALIST GOVERNMENT, IT’S ALL ABOUT MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, I’m not a Commie – I’m just realistic.

Redhat/Novell suit for infringement on patent 5,072,412 for a “user interface with multiple workspaces for sharing display system objects” – where is IBM, they patent so many of these things? However, did Quarterdeck already claim this with DeskView? What about Topview, or ‘other’??? This patent pre-dates the current Windows interface.
