• Lots of Microsoft news, none interesting. But the company may open up Device Manager.
• I tell a famous anecdote about how the semiconductor folks screw each other. Very funny. Pat McGovern anecdote too.
• Sandisk rolls out Apple TV clone.
• Whatever happened to MICROSOFT TV?
• Sun says it will do an Intel-based server. This is new? And exactly where is the Itanium?
• Look for a 64GB and 128GB flash card!
• Lexmark having problems? They are going to move out of Mexico because it is too expensive? Huh?

Trojans up 500%? There’s your proof that idiots are buying blue pills through those spam emails.

Intel is the new CPU champ. I’m so disappointed that I can change my entire motherboard with a quad-core Intel for cheaper than buying a single AMD 6400+ Dual Core. Everything else remains the same.

However just swapping AMD CPU’s saves about 15 mins of install time and perhaps another 15 mins in Windows XP installing the new motherboard drivers.

What’s interesting is that the Intel Quad-core is “Greener”, because tasks finish faster, the CPU idles more quickly.
Tom’s Hardware did a nice writeup on that.

I can see the SanDisk TV thingie catching on…if they drop it’s price to 49$. I currently download, burn, play in DVD player.
SanDisk’s solution is download, usb drive, plug in TV adapter.

I kind of like both solutions, the SanDisk being great for watch once, then delete, scenarios.

Can anyone suggest a good/trustworthy trojan scanner for Macs?
