I bet the cops didn’t get to see the video from his buddy when he got the ticket.
Idiots just don’t get it.
See what showing off gets you. 5 rolls at 30 mph.
My guess is that he had to gas it a little harder because he was going downhill.
He should get another bike but be required to carry a personalized license plate that reads “MORAN”
These are what those in the medical field call “organ donors”.
And I bet he wonders why his insurance premium is around $2-3K
#4. And people who are looking for cheap bike parts call a yard sale.
Probably not too many whole bike parts left after that truck nailed it.
I guess performing dangerous stunts on deserted roads has lost its thrill. Sometimes you’ve got to just get out there and endanger other lives to make it really pop.
If that second truck wasn’t following so close to the first truck he could have seen the motorcycle and avoided it like the first truck did.
Needed more ass clench.
I just want to point out that at the 15 second mark, the truck that nailed his bike was tailgating the car in front of it, and that is why he didn’t see the oncoming bike.
So as per usual with multi-car traffic accidents, it is when two morons run into each other…
GregA, it’s hard to tell, but at around 11 seconds it looks like the following distant is greater, and then when the first driver brakes hard, the distance closes quickly. Also, you can see the road has almost no shoulder with what looks like a significant drop-off, so swerving right a little too far risks a rollover for the truck. The driver could probably have gotten over far enough without going off the edge, but it would be a very risky move if he’d gone just a little too far (even shoulders can cause dangerous instability). Plus, the second truck had more bike in its lane than the first truck did.
It’s all over in seconds, and in this version, everyone lived. Only the biker really needs an emergency vasectomy 😉
It’s hard enough to go fast on four wheels let alone 2. Theirs a lot less common sense these days!
And the second truck hitting (and destroying) the motorcycle is somehow a bad thing? Unless it damaged the truck, I don’t see why. I mean, do you really want the tard to get back on and ride some more?
Last summer I saw two bikers doing this on I-90 (three lanes each direction) near Chicago in heavy traffic. I estimate they where doing about 65 – 70.
I did some stupid shit when I was a kid, but never that stupid.
All in good fun until someone puts an eye out.
I’m glad the guy is alive, but I’m equally glad his bike got toasted.
#11 – So as per usual with multi-car traffic accidents, it is when two morons run into each other…
Maybe so… But of the two, the truck driver might be a moron… But the biker absolutely is a moron. You should always consider the degree of “moronity”.
OFTLO – I think you’re on to something there. We need to come up with a Degree of Moronity (or Moranity) Chart.
God invented Hondas to keep knee grows off of Harleys.
Additional Darwin Awards to to morans that are complaining in this thread that the truck going the other way was tailgating and therefore is partly to blame.
It looks like the cycle took out the front suspension on the left side of the second truck. I’m glad I wasn’t in the way of that mess.
Somehow that video struck me as a metaphor for the 2004 election.
#22 – Greg Allen
😀
#20, Awake;
Please provide physics based explanations and legal explanations as to why the tailgating asshat isn’t a moran (sic) and partially at fault.
Thanks.
Four wheels can be tough.
Two wheels is tougher.
One wheel is akin to giving yourself a C-section.
I don’t know what any of you are talking about. The three of us executed this exactly as planned.
All i have to say is:
HA HAHAHAHAHA!
I am so SICK of idiots on sport bikes doing stupid tricks and speeding through traffic. Really, is ANYONE other then brain dead teenagers actually impressed by any of these moronic activities??
