Just think some idiot will say “well if lighter fluid works, then gasoline will work better. Let me do it. OOWWW!”
Erm… Lighter fuel is gasoline!
Could you be refering to the warning not to use gasoline for fire breathing? One should use kerosene for that.
As for the Fire Balls above may I sugest that you use fibreglass cloth and to cover them.
That way they will not continue to burn after the fuel runs out.
Wasn’t this posted on BoingBoing last week? And didn’t they retract it later because someone got seriously burned? Or am I imagining things again?
Lighter fluid IS NOT gasoline it is Naptha.

Interesting – It’s not in the UK.
I use Naptha at work and know lighter fuel from when I use to smoke. They are different.
You can run a motobike quite happily on UK lighter fuel. It is “White petrol” i.e. the same as our petrol but without the antiknock additives.
Just a thought – is US lighter fuel like “Coleman fuel”? That seems to have naphta in it.
Coleman fuel and petrol lighter fuel are not the same here.
What editing software did they use? I liked the way labels “stuck” to the items.
Colman fuel, lighter fluid, etc is actually Naphtha, commonly know as White Gas in the US.
Fuel, matches, fire in the palm of your hand. What could possibly go wrong?
I tried this. It works fine, but you have to be real careful on the amount of lighter fluid used. Too much and you won’t be able to handle them. I have to say that I never could hold onto them as long as the guy in the video. You have to keep them moving more then he does. I practiced over a sink full of water, just in case.
