Holy long load time even with a 10 Mb connection at work Batman.

    Very cool though.

  2. Breetai says:

    WOW that’s weird but cool.

  3. Eldon says:

    A pornographer’s wet dream!

  4. Bill R. says:

Now, if the ultra-slomo video was like this…

  5. Cursor_ says:

Well that is useless as tits on a bull.

Yeah let’s let film people waste all day getting a good solid shot and shows us what we need to see and they let us play like we have ADHD and flip all over the place.

It would be nice IF we were using it to focus in on something stationary or diagnose a small subject area, but this is crap.

Take a camera, any camera. Point it to a reflective sphere vertically up from the camera.
Presto, U got a 360 image from the surroundings. Take the digital video and pass it through a “unwarping” algorithm, feed it to an interactive player “a la” QTime… let it simmer on the web for a while, and serve on DU.

  7. JimS says:

I’m impressed. I think that there is a market for this. I can imagine a first person mystery where you needed to look around to find some of the clues.

It would be nice if you could hit the space bar to pause the video so that you could look around. Also, some other panorama software allows linked hotspots to be added, that would be a great feature for this too.

  8. R.Narcisse says:

Now that’s the beginnings of the future “they” promised me. Now gimme my damned VR gear and let me be.

  9. Andrew says:

A company called iPix was doing this 8 years ago in RealPlayer.
