Who could pass by the Donut Doctor without stopping in?

I made a few bucks with the “art as junk” hustle back in the 60’s. I was working nights in a factory producing pvc. Lots of perfectly flat sheet scrap and chunks of brightly-colored pieces that would build-up and be trimmed from the edges of the sheet vinyl we produced.
I’d glue it to colored burlap stretched as canvas; throw in a fishbone or whatever was handy — and give it a religious title, like, “Noah reborn”. Sold everything I produced. Got terrific reviews, too — especially after a couple of interviews about mystical and Zen inspiration.
Great web site.
If I was rich, I’d rescue and repair old neon signs. I’m expecially fond of the old motel signs. They are disappearing fast, though.
