The networks have refused to call this out of fear of losing advertising dollars. It’s over. By a wide margin.

Republicans : F$cking crybabies. Suck it up and quit wetting yourselves. It’ll be alright.
Obama voters:
Keep a copy of all his promises somewhere, because 2 years later you won’t hear about them nor you won’t find them on his website anymore 🙂
And what’s this bullshit about “Americans” voting him in?
95% of Blacks and just slightly more than half of Whites voted on this guy, where do you people see it as “majority”?
Its only thanks to our stupid electoral voting system that he got such majority of votes.
the gop has only themselves to blame for their defeat:
what the gop failed to understand is that we are not a nation of rednecks. joe six pack is but one member of the family. there are many others, all equally as noble and important as joe, but in politics you shun the others at your own peril.
to wit,
+ lots of republicans like sipping lattes in big east coast cities, and the gop snubbed them.
+ many lifelong republicans have never been hunting in their lives, and the gop snubbed them.
+ many suburban upper middle class republicans wouldn’t be caught dead at a nascar race, and the gop snubbed them.
+ lots of city dwelling republicans think country music sucks.
basically the gop put all their eggs in one basket — white rural country folks, who are great important people and all that, but then the gop told everyone else to buzz off, that they weren’t “true” americans.
that was not a wise move.
Dems embracing the electoral college over the popular vote?
The stock market having the worst post-election day fall in history?
George W. Bush making a gracious and complementary address to Obama?
Democrat Congresspeople taking to the airwaves early Wednesday attempting to diffuse expectations for the coming four years after promising voters the world for the last six months?
Choosing Rahm Emanuel (the Democrat’s version of Karl Rove) as Chief of Staff?
“Change” has certainly arrived!
I would love to have seen Barry’s face when he received his first security briefing yesterday.

that’s more u.s. citizens than voted for your guy.
YOU FAIL!
SOUR GRAPES!
After a week or so of security briefings & encountering the real world for the 1st time, Obama is going to be a few shades whiter…
the funny thing about sore losers is that they are losers

It may be our “stupid electoral voting system” that’s responsible for him getting “such majority” of votes, but Obama soundly thrashed McCain in the POPULAR VOTE also.
So what’s your point?
It’s not an abortion like the 2000 election, where Gore won the popular vote and lost because of the “stupid electoral voting system”.
Obama won fair and square.

thanks for the reminder
it shows the mental capacity of conservative whack-jobs. their godhead, g.w. lost the popular vote but won in the electoral college
but whack-jobs can’t remember that far back because they’re mental midgets.
they called us who complained back then sore losers.
now they are eating crow.
#232, grog,
Well made points.
Just to add to that, I think the Republican base did vote McCain. But, because as you point out, their hearts were not in it and weren’t enthusiastic about the whole process.
I only noticed a few of the more extreme elements supporting McCain with any enthusiasm. Those same people that showed up at the Palinfests and KKK rallys. Oh ya, and Cow-Paddy
