Before I arrived in Lisbon a couple of weeks ago, Uncle Dave — who was supposed to be taking pictures — told me that they should rename the Lisbon airport “The George Clooney Airport.” He told me I’ll understand when I get there. Those Portuguese have always been a little “iffy”. What other country besides Portugal would have “wine corks” as one of the staples of their economy?

Doesn’t everyone? Except the Portuguese, of course – they are the wine cork MASTERS!!
Strange. I suddenly want to drink vermouth, and I have no idea why.
If you order “a martini” in Europe, you will usually get a vermouth (white or red) on the rocks.
I guess it doesn’t show there on US Tv, but Clooney is the the face of both the Martini and Nespresso campaigns.
