…why an ad like this would never appear on U.S. television?

Har!

  1. moss says:

Not very many Sheffield Wednesday fans in the U.S.?

  2. WmDE says:

    They ain’t speaking American.

  3. Paddy-O says:

    3. It is the responsibility of each individual customer to ensure that their own local, national or state laws allow them to place bets.

  4. we save adds that are this bad for our political campaigns

  5. Dallas says:

Even though we have a more progressive society than ever, we will never catch up with our European counterparts in edgy commercials.

Two guys in a tub? Not anytime soon.
One of them black? Even further out.
Both of them black? Not in my lifetime.

  6. amodedoma says:

Too many puritains, too many homophobes, too many racists, etc.

  7. reg_one says:

Oh, so that is what paddypower is all about. I saw this on Six Nations Irish rugby game. Oh yes, American here.

  8. . says:

Anyone who still watches ads is a sucker.

  9. brm says:

I’d bet money that the ‘betting on sports’ content would keep it off the air more than the sexual content.

  10. bobbo says:

    Well, lets see:

    1. Man in bath
    2. Two men in bath
    3. Bath Bubbles
    4. Inter racial
    5. Black Guy Goes under water
    6. Thick accents.
    7. Pukey color green.
    8. Got the money wet.

I could watch again to get more, but my anti-social impulses are pretty well spent.

I don’t think the gamboling subject is bad at all. Its illegal which would keep it off the air but not because the american public would be negative about it.

Gambling is how you get rich in America.

  11. Ron Larson says:

Because online gambling is illegal in the US.

  12. Ah_Yea says:

    Imagine the outcry!

    Bobbo pointed right to it.

We just saw the commotion about a cartoon showing two white cops shooting a chimp.

Now a white and a black in the tub together?

    Ohh, I don’t think so…

(Now here is the sad part. It’s not a racist commercial. Nothing like it, but there are those who would cry havoc and make it a racist issue. I wish they would all grow up.)

  13. Mr. Fusion says:

    #5, Dallas,

I hope you aren’t planning on a short life. I would have no problem, as would the majority of Americans, with seeing your scenario.

  14. Mr. Fusion says:

    #14, Ah Yea,

Now a white and a black in the tub together?

    Ohh, I don’t think so…

Why not? I’ve seen many commercials with blacks and whites together.
