This is the second round of Android hiring at Motorola. It’ll be interesting to see how the customize the UX (like the HTC Hero).

My theory is that people will go to Windows 7 since everyone is tired of a gazillion XP updates. JCD is right, Ultimate is completely bogus.

You must not like iPod users because there’s nothing to click on to listen to the report. ;(

These guys must be the only company out there looking to hire Americans. Give them some support guys.

    1 qb,

Have you been playing with Android or the SDK? I see you’re pretty consistent in commenting on it. FWIW, I have two HTC Magics (I like them!)

  7. qb says:

Named, yup. I’ve written software for most handheld platforms but over the last year I’ve solely focused on iPhone and Android. Most things I write are for the corporate market but I occasionally do charity work. I’m actually starting to quite like the Android.

Up until now, whenever you wrote software for a handheld you always felt restricted and limited. With the Android and iPhone you feel like it’s a “real computer”, if that makes any sense.

BTW the NY Times is reporting that Google is planning an Android based Netbook OS.

Show me what you got! I’m really enjoying the Android OS immensely. I never liked the iPhone workflow (similar to the Mac to me) and WinMo was too fidley. Android is the nice mix of a “desktop” and a truncated mobile workflow. Really enjoying it…
