Yeah, we’re fighting for freedom in Iraq.

Gays are just the start it sounds like. If the Iraqi government can’t stop these fanatics in the police and military, they’ll end up with a religiously controlled country like Afganistan was. But since they will sell us oil, I guess that’s OK. Sorry executed poeple.

Gays flee as religious militias sentence them all to death

The death threat was delivered to Karazan’s father early in the morning by a masked man wearing a police uniform.

The scribbled note was brief. Karazan had to die because he was gay. In the new Baghdad, his sexuality warranted execution by the religious militias.

The father was told that if he did not hand his son over, other family members would be killed.

What scares the city’s residents is how the fanatics’ list of enemies is growing. It includes girls who refuse to cover their hair, boys who wear theirs too long, booksellers, liberal professors and prostitutes. Three shops known to sell alcohol were bombed yesterday in the Karrada shopping district.

Here’s the real problem. The government can’t control squat.

A ministry spokesman said that the Government did not condone vigilante groups. However, Nouri al-Malaki, the Prime Minister-designate, has conceded that the Iraqi security forces have been infiltrated by militia extremists.

“These people are taking Iraq back to the Dark Ages,” added Mr Hili, 33.

Saddam was a murderer, period. Ask the families of the 100,000 Kurds that were killed during his rule, or maybe the families of the 45,000 bodies found so far in mass graves, killed during his rule, or the Iraqi soccer players who were killed or tortured by Saddams son for not playing well enough, or the families of the Shites in southern Iraq killed when they rebelled, foolishly thinking the U.S. would help them, ask all of these people if they liked life better in those days. Gays were killed before Saddam fell and it’s continueing. It’s what fundlementlist Muslims do to gay men or woman.

It’s not just Iraq, it’s also happening in Iran. There have been some well publisied cases of hanging’s of young gays there. Gays are not accepted in Muslim states, and these things happen daily. It has nothing to do with the war, it happened before the war and it still is.

And geez David….take some pills please.

#2 “I firmly believe that homosexuality is wrong, but this is just as wrong.”

    — Equating consensual sex between adults with murder, I’m straight too, but that’s really offensive.

Seeing two men be affectionate with each other, gives me the ibee-jeebies. Truth is, in my younger day, I used to get a similar twinge in my stomach when I saw a black man and a white woman together. Strangely, the twinge, while still there, seemed lesser when it was a white man with a black woman. Displays of affection between women, always effected me a bit differently. It gives me a twinge all right, but it’s situated a bit lower. Race never seemed to be much of an issue, as long as they both had tits.

I have since come to realize that the racial prejudice I felt was my problem, my weakness, not theirs.

I’ve actually shook hands with a couple queers, and guess what? It’s just like it is with colored people, that stuff don’t rub off. And just like it is with the ethnics, Nature never asked them which group they wanted to belong to.

Why in the world should any of us care, much less want to legislate, relationships between consenting adults? In my book, all adults should have the unalienable right to seek happiness in their relationships. The rest of us should pretty much piss off.

Think about it, there has to be some butt-ugly fat chicks where you live, gals that would give you the ibee-jeebies, just to think about having sex with, even if you are fat and ugly yourself. (I’m sure you’re not). Believe it or not, many of those same gals are getting at least occasional sex from straight guys, some of which are even sober. Yuk! but why in the world should a couple of good looking gentlemen like us worry about it? I’m more worried about stupid people breeding, than I am about ugly ones doing it.

The way I see it, queers cut down on my competition on Friday nights, and anything that keeps the ugly chicks out of the place I’m drinking in, can only be a good thing.

If you feel that same sex relationships are wrong because the Bible tells us so. Then it’s time to read Leviticus again my friend. It kind of makes it difficult to fault fags, while you’re wearing that sharp looking polyester-cotton blend NRA T-shirt and camouflaged baseball cap combo. Or if you have ever had a haircut.

Dude, I’m telling you, they’re queer, and they’re here. It really is time for rough and tumble straight guys like us, to get over it, and worry more about some of the truly wrongs that are taking place today, like murder.

#26. “There is a difference between being homosexual and committing homosexual acts”.

    — I guess that explains why the Catholic Church requires its priests to remain celibate. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist)

#34 — I’m happy for you, but that’s way too much information.

#35. “Isn’t there a Commandment suggesting “thou shalt not kill”.”

    — Silly, those aren’t suggestions, those are direct commands. That part of the Bible isn’t supposed to be taken literally, it’s the other parts that are to be interpreted word for word. Good thing too, if Christians started taking the Ten Commandments literally, then they wouldn’t be able to ask their maid-servant at the local IHOP to cook them up pancakes and sausage, on Sunday after church services. Sabbath breakers wouldn’t be any better than queers, in the eyes of the Lord.

JimS, my dream, my goal, in life is to be a jellyfish which is composed of 98% of water! And it lives in water! What I am trying to say is that I wish to be transparent: who I am outside exactly (or at least 98%) matches who I am inside. My thoughts are not private– I share them with you. One day I will get to a point where I have NO thoughts. That is the day I will be completely FREE. Just like a jellyfish that has no brain.

    > Tim, you have to answer one question: Is Iraq a better,
    > safer and more liveable place now that the U.S. is
    > occupying it or when Saddam was occupying it?

Were the colonies safer and more liveable place right after the Revolution War ended or under British control?

And as you hit me with the red carpet…

    > One day I will get to a point where I have NO thoughts.
    > That is the day I will be completely FREE. Just like a
    > jellyfish that has no brain.

Many of us would suggest you achieved this nirvana some time ago.
    ;->

  5. Angel H. Wong says:

“the only angry character in the Bible is God because none of his plans ever worked.”

  6. Mr. H. Fusion says:

EXODUS 20:13 Thou shalt not kill (KJV)

No qualifiers. No “murder”. No interpretation. Just Thou shalt not kill. Yet this is violated many times each day in God’s name all over the world.

Sure, some “modern” scholars have changed this to “Thou shalt not murder”, but the most commonly accepted Bible in the America is still the King James Version. But whichever version you choose, I think it is trumped by what Jesus preached.
