  1. larry the cable clown says:

    Nice coins, there buddy.

  2. WmDE says:

Simplest “kinetic weapon” is a thrown rock.

    Bullets are kinetic weapons.

Hammers also qualify as “guided kinetic weapons.”

Hit moon with heavy object and look for steam.

The five mile crater probably describes the target area not the effect.

Weapon is not quite the right word.

  3. joaoPT says:

    Méliés proved right

  4. Some advice says:

It’s interesting to hear them say that audience doesn’t like the corny jingles at the start and how they have to tell their friends to get past the cornyness, and the friggin “In the morning” crap, and in response D&A comment “it’s the best part of the show”. They criticize so many things observed in news and world events and criticize how people don’t listen and they are doing the same thing. Reminds me how Apple never licensed when everyone said “license” and someone in charge said “I can’t hear you”. I think it would be better to start the show with a clip from something someone said the week before. Like the Pelosi “jobs, jobs, jobs” thing was great at the time, something pertinent to that week. But when it becomes repetitive it’s awful. Thanks.

  5. Faxon says:

    My favorite show!

  6. ECA says:

    Umm,
Less talking and a few more subjects?? PLEASE!!

  7. ECA says:

At least talk about current news and a few opinions..

  8. Hugh Ripper says:

So is this an admission by the US that they have weapons in space?

  9. Glenn E. says:

Ya know… I read “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress” decades ago. And I’m betting that so has most of the higher ups at NASA. Because they’re employing the same old tried fiction of underground water, that that novel had. If the water idea falls flat, what are they going to try next? The “Moon is made of Cheese” ploy? Or the “Moon’s a great place to dump our atomic waste” ploy? That one, of course, come from the Tv series “Space:1999”. Doesn’t NASA have any ORIGINAL ideas? Another is the notion that the Moon is a great place to launch trips to other planets from. Actually, it’s NOT! Earth orbit IS! And that was one of the early selling points of building a new Space Station. But not that that’s nearly finished. And NASA can’t milk it construction costs beyond completion. They see no profitable use for “exploring space” with it. It’s a glorified floating hotel for experimental Ant Farm keepers.

Building launch pads on the moon means, first, burning up fuel to get their, and second, burning up more fuel to overcome the Moon’s gravity. Not to mention waiting for it to orient itself suitably for launch window to another world. A geosynchronous obit puts you in the same position about every 90 minutes. NOT once every 27 days!

What building elaborate digs on the Moon does accomplish, is to extort further funds, in the future, to keep it well supplied. Think of it as similar to the Jewish settlement of Jordan. It serves more as an excuse for increased political and economic support, than anything to do with honoring their God’s promise. Well, apparently NASA has they own God. And he wants them to occupy the Moon, AGAIN! And us “deep pockets” Americans better pay for it. Or their dream (which they claim all America shares) won’t happen. And if that occurs, the meteors will come along and wipe us out as a species. Possibly they’re Nazi meteorites. Same damn thing the Jews came up with. They need their survival foothold, against any future demise of their kind. Never mind what’ll happen to the rest of us. But I don’t seriously believe NASA thinking the Moon will be a haven for human survivors of meteor hell. It’s just a multi-billion dollar gravy train for them and their Contractor buddies.

  10. ECA says:

    Glen.
we need a SPACE station that will REMAIN in space. The moon is the best place for it. But we need some form of Propellant.
We need to make SPACE ONLY ships.
Building them on planet Sucks, as we have to build them ATMOSPHERE worthy and Boost them 50 miles up, just to get them to space.
If we can post a base on the moon, we can Manufacture Ships that can only handle SPACE. Even if we make them out of LEAD.
MOst of the resources we need are on the moon, EXCEPT, water, power, food and AIR. IF we have water on the moon, we can have those 4 things.
If we had to ship water/Oxygen to the moon it would costs us WAY to much to explore space.

  11. deowll says:

I was shocked that a couple of University graduates didn’t know the meaning of kinetic. The energy of an object in motion. If you can get something going fast enough you don’t need no silly bomb. The impact will do the job.

It was nice to know you guys noticed the bait and switch on health care. The people at Fox noticed about a month ago but then you guys don’t watch Fox and Fox usually just catches what somebody else points out to them or is grossly obvious. It’s not like they have a team of real reporters out digging up the news and doing investigative reporting.

It’s nice to know the Democrats are going to reform health care by putting taxes on it to cover the cost of their new Federal jobs program.

The NEA is all for the public option and not having their health benefits taxed just like the other unions. Most people are going to get so shafted it isn’t even funny.

  12. RC says:

Good show; here is something to consider in your next show, assuming that you are not already aware of the UK Big Brother push – http://www.smh.com.au/technology/technology-news/britain-presses-on-with-big-brother-telecoms-database-20091110-i7j4.html
