Trying to stop dead baby eaters!
Apparently they eat dead fetuses in Oklahoma. Otherwise how do you explain State Senate Bill 1418 regarding: “Food; prohibiting the sale or manufacture of food or products which contain aborted human fetuses.”
The Bill put forth by State Senator Ralph Shortley reads thus:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-1150 of Title 63, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
No person or entity shall manufacture or knowingly sell food or any other product intended for human consumption which contains aborted human fetuses in the ingredients or which used aborted human fetuses in the research or development of any of the ingredients.
Parts/extracts from some unborn animals are parts of some very high priced “rejuvenating” cosmetic treatments and I think I’ve read that in some locations the same would be true of human parts/extracts.

Hype and humor aside, legislation is intended to curb stem cell usage in development and production of food. Practical example: Pepsi HAS a patent for sweetness enhancer based on stem cell derived technology. Do you want Diet Pepsi which tastes sweet because of the fetus-stem-cells in it playing tricks on your physiology? (Yes, maybe those stem cells are few generations removed from an actual aborted fetus but in DNA essence they are still fine human, functional stem cells – that’s why that system works as intended).
This is a right moment to stop both moral and scientific disaster of technology outrunning the legislation. I leave morals to you for a choice. However, human cell material in mass-production food has potential for irrevocable harm well seen with mad cow disease. As far as known possible scientific consequences – this is an example of good thinking ahead of technology run amok.
Pepsi and Senomyx have denied that they ever used HEK 293 to test anything for the Pepsi line.

Sorry. To the best of my knowledge, the prions that cause “mad cow” are not human tissue. If you’re saying that such prions might be hidden in stem cells (instead of the mature nerve tissue they are thought to inhabit) then I would say any such use of stem cells would be several (or dozens) of generations removed from the donor and undoubtedly screened for prions.
Humans have been consuming placental tissues for health, beauty and cultural reasons for centuries. Don’t recall any reports of disease propagation from the practice.

Very disturbing pictures are now spreading across the internet about a certain delicacy which could be found in China. A town in Canton is now on trend making baby herbal soup to
increase health and sexual performance/stamina. The cost of the fetus soup in China currency is approximately $ 4000 (around RMB 2000).
A factory manager was interviewed and he testified that it is effective because he have tried it and is a frequent customer. It is a delicacy whereby expensive herbs are added to boil the baby with chicken meat for 8 hours boiling/steaming. He was interviewed with his second and very young wife, who is only 19 while he is now 62. He testifies the potency of the fetus soup and he was able to make love with his wife everyday.
You must understand that in Oklahoma, fetus is plural for foot. When you realize that this bill refers to human feet, then it makes much more sense.

-about 2 lbs
2 Chicken breast, boned,
-coarsley chopped
1 Chicken bouillion cube
2 qt Water for boiling
1 Small onion, peeled,
-coarsley chopped
1 Garlic cloves, minced
Green onions, chopped,
-tops and bottoms
Flour, for thickening liquid
4 Carrots, peel, cut into
-pieces 2“long, 1/4″ wide
Oil, for saute
Salt/pepper to taste
1 t Dried oregano
1 t Dried Rosemary
Dry white wine… a cup
-or a quart, to your taste
Directions: Wash them feet… scrub between toes… remove ”toe-jam“. Rinse in clear water.
Wash and de-fat chicken breasts… remove skin and bones. Cut into small pieces. Pat dry with paper towels, and saute in hot oil or butter for a few minutes.
Add vegetables… and spices…saute a few minutes more. Stir, make onions soft but not browned. Add a little wine, cook over low heat for a few minutes while you drink a cup of the wine and some of the liquid
evaporates… oh, yeah… do not cover skillet.
Boil water… add bouillion and dissolve (the bouillion). Throw in the whole mess from the skillet, all meat and vegetables… toss in the feet… bring to a boil and then simmer until the chicken is cooked and tender.
Have another cup of wine.
NOW… in a clean skillet… heat some oil… add some flour, equal measure… maybe 1/4 cup, each… over moderate heat, make a ”roux”… browning the flour/oil mixture, but do not burn… add to the soup.
Cook the whole thing until slightly thickened… remove from heat… add the rest of the wine…heh…heh… cover… let set a few minutes… and serve with cooked rice (maybe add cooked rice to the soup… or seperately)… Open a second bottle of wine to serve with the soup…

Just a curious person well conversant in matters biological wonders, what food research requires dead fetuses? I’m guessing they don’t eat much, seems a rather small market to be doing research for.
So presumably this bill allows the sale of food intended for animals, made from human fetuses; it’s very specific about HUMAN consumption.

I was thinking the very same thing, concerning that movie, when I read this. Are they trying to prevent Soylent Pink and Soylent Blue, from ever happening? Apparently, Okies have no problem with recycling the old folks…. yet. What color cracker will they be made into?
This bill it probably just another propaganda move, to either stop something that simply doesn’t exist, but sounds good to the voters. Or is just a tiny part of the bill. And opposing some other part of it from passing, also means “yer in favor of eating dead babies!”. So it’s to insure the bill passes. The opposite trick of tacking on something like a gay rights cause, to make sure a bill FAILS. Are these politicians a bunch of gutless morons, when they resort to these tactics? Because they obviously want a bill to pass or fail, but know it will look bad for them (to the voters) if they cast their vote for or against a simple bill. So they toss in these diversionary clauses, that they’ll point to as their REAL reason for voting the way they did. And not the main point of the bills. Gutless chicken sh*ts.
I think this guy’s either mad as a hatter or has seen into the future and wants to head off his vision of a dystopia.
On the other hand, this bill may be to stop those cheap Chinese food imports, from ending up on grocers’ shelves. Figuring that there must be some parts of people, in them. I wonder what percentage of human fetuses, is allowed by the FDA, in foods? Did Senator Shortley even bother to research that? Or did he just assume the FDA’s standard was too slack?
So, to recap. All other grounded up, unborn animal parts as food or food research, is Ok for the Okies. Just not any unborn people animal parts. Does this mean I can’t byte my lips, or chew my nails, in Oklahoma? Because technically, I’m eating human body parts. Even though its my own. And better watch out for those babies that suck their thumbs, in public. The new law might come down hard on them.

This is in response to a recent outcry against Pepsi for partnering with a research group which used kidney stem cells originating from a donated aborted fetus to create flavor receptors to use during testing of new drinks. It’s been making the rounds on all the hippy dippy liberal health nut sites and everyone’s trying to boycot pepsi, even though a lot of other companies also do this or worse.
What they fail to realize, partly because of bad/biased reporting, partly stupidity, is that there is actually no fetus put into any final product, and the cells were originally from a single fetus donated in the 70s and current tests use cells that were derived from them.
Everyone’s freaking out like there is dead baby in their pepsi, or there’s some medical fetus racket profiting off of thousands of stolen abortions.
