I can tell by the comments here that the “Obama as Messiah” crowd is worried. What’s the matter? Don’t like the idea of a powerful woman from a truly free state? I am sure the anti gun crowd is trying to unknot their pink panties. Great move by John. I sent his campaign money, the first time I have sent any campaign money, and I will bet I am not the only one who appreciates his real “change” Biden? Give me a break!
Everyone here is making judgment calls on her intellect and complaining about her experience.
Lets compare:
Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council from 1992 to 1996, and was elected mayor of Wasilla twice, in 1996 and 1999. She also ran unsuccessfully for lieutenant governor of Alaska in 2002. Palin is the current Governor of the US state of Alaska and the presumptive Republican vice presidential nominee for the 2008 United States presidential election.
Obama was in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He was unsuccessful in his bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2003 and when elected in 2004, only held the Senate position for 127 days before venturing off on his presidential campaign.
She has just as much experience as Obama, if not more..
The anti-Palin side is already failing and it hasn’t been a day. Proof it was a smart pick.
Also, Tina Fey’s 15 minutes are about over. She did nothing for SNL besides run off the little talent they had left, and “30 Rock” is entering its sink or swim season.
Then again, on NBC, being bad beats being pathetic… which if you haven’t noticed describes about everything else they’re doing these days.
#23 – J lied, “The money is on the democratic side this time my friend. Your team is going to lose and lose big.”
Hmmm.
“The RNC outraised its rival (DNC) more than 2-1 in contributions and by $6 million in total receipts in July, and now has a $68 million advantage in cash-on-hand.”
I think it’s funny that they look alike. Happy accident for Tina. Palin seems to be a well spoken Mrs. Smith goes to Washington. Honestly after hearing her speak for yen minutes on the news and a brief news bite of her past I would vote for her over Mccain or Obama in a three way race.
The fun reality is we are going to vote for an African-American president or a woman VP. So we are guareented to do something original.
I barely know who Tina Fey is, I think she’s some actress or something, right? She does look remarkably like Ms. Palin, but clearly if the best she can do with her life is be a barely known celebrity then she’s not anywhere near being in the same league as a vice presidential candidate.
It will be amazing to have a female in the white house. You know, one that’s not giving a bj to Bill Clinton.
I find these comments funny, the ones where the liberals are putting her down. You sure are frightened by a great looking smart conservative woman. Must be your worst nightmare. I love it.
Experience…hmmm Sarah was mayor of a town of less than 9,000. Governor of a state that does not have a high population. She has a BA in Journalism….oh wow. Obama graduated from Columbia with a BA and then graduated from Harvard Law School. He was an attorney and a law professor. He was a member of many organizations and committees. IL State Senator from 1996 to 2004. U.S. Senator from 2005 to present. I think he has more experience and education than Sarah. And let’s see how the investigation of Sarah goes….

Gotta give the old guy credit. He sure can pick lookers. If we are going to get fucked, let it be by lookers.

Yeah but the question is did you donate as much as myself and my wife did to Obama and the democratic party?
My guess is probably not.
The money is on the democratic side this time my friend. Your team is going to lose and lose big.
If I had my choice I’d take Sarah. But then again she is not pro-choice.
# 17 Me!
And you just showed how ignorant you are. If you keep making comments like that every woman on the planet well back her.

I would love to know what Tina Fey thinks about all of this!

#28 – My guess would be “Oh fuck. Now I have to go back on SNL to do a lame impression.”
Personally, I lost interest in the black framed glasses look after Lisa Loeb.
We thought Sarah Palin looks like Peggy Hill http://lookliker.com/2008/08/29/sarah-palin-looks-like-peggy-hill/ Tina Fey looks more like her though. Good one!

>>Dvorak must have meant mother
>>and daughter, right?
Which one is the mother? They look like sisters to me.
I’d vote for Tina, though. Even though the Fisherman’s Wife is pretty hot.
My first mental comparison was Mariska Hargitay.
bitch is the new black

To bad Tina’s not on SNL anymore, that would of been a perfect role. LOL

@#36 I’m pretty sure Hillary was in the white house before and wasn’t giving any bj’s.
