The Australian Vaccination Network lobby group says more testing of the swine flu vaccine needs to be done before it is given to the public.
Australian Vaccination Network president Meryl Dorey has previously urged the Government not to make vaccinations compulsory for children. She says the H1N1 vaccine could prove more dangerous than the disease itself.
“If we find that swine flu is milder than normal seasonal flu, and we have normal seasonal flu every year, and all the government does is simply offer a vaccine for those who want it, why should this flu be treated any differently,” Ms Dorey said.

Even if true, it only goes to the issue of “don’t preserve vaccines with mercury” and even then, given issues of manufacturing and distribution/use around the world, what is the risk/harm of vaccines with mercury vs not using mercury?

1. the spread is REALLY erratic..It isnt spreading LIKE it should.
2. Its been 6 months since the outbreak, it should have infected MORE persons(20% isnt a viable number for a pandemic)
3. A kill rate of 0.05% from the flu and >0.05% from the SHOT IS NOT a reason to get a SHOT.(I use that as an example)
4. Vaccines are good when you have a 1000% survival rate OVER the disease. NOT when the Vaccine cant kill you as easily as what you are preventing.

I believe 2 things are happening.
1. the BUG needs a CLOSED space to Infect. You need to stay in a HOME for a week or 2, with NO air purification…IT NEEDS TO GROW to infect. Fresh air isnt enough.
2. Seasonal changes are SLOWING it down. it needs HEAT. not DAMP heat.
AND I think it needs 1 other thing. A carrier. In another 6-12 months this thing could REALLY work. but it still needs to change/adapt.

Flu vaccines aren’t experimental technology — they’ve been around for decades. I’ve had more than I can remember with nothing worse than a slightly sore arm.

Looks like sometimes the CDC doesn’t know the difference between the flu and pneumonia.
Between Oct 1, 2003 and Apr 9, 2004, the CDC identified 863 antigenically DIFFERENT influenza viruses. Therefore, even if one assumes that the flu vaccines work for the three chosen strains, it is important to understand that the vaccines will not provide protection against the other 860 influenza viruses known to be in circulation.
Hence the CDC’s statement about the flu is correct: Yearly, adults can average one to three and children three to six influenza-like illnesses (ILIs). The vaccine does not prevent influenza-like illnesses caused by infectious agents other than influenza [strains found in the shot], and many persons vaccinated against influenza will still get the flu.

Stars==thanks for the link, but “so what?” Are the other 860 strains important to humans per CDC guidelines? Seems to me “per the function of the CDC” they aren’t. THIS year, CDC has identified two stains to take precautions against–normal and swine. Who knows if the “normal” isn’t a cocktail against more than one flu? And we have immunity if previously exposed to other flu’s some of which must be part of that other 860 strains?
